Potamia Cave Suites

WOW! Such an amazing place! I am so grateful for the days I spent here. Thank to Ahmet and his staff and the wonderful and friendly place that he has created ＜3 This is a place that just has to be experienced. You stay in a cave suite, where every room is different. Ahmet has made a new place out of an old place, with a warmth and atmosphere like no other. The breakfast is a Turkish meze - all homemade, surrounded by birds and a peaceful view over a beautiful valley with abandoned caves. A truly wonderful start of the day!

I had an amazing stay at Potamia Cave Suites in Cappadocia! Ahmet was such a wonderful host, friendly, attentive, and always ready with helpful recommendations for exploring the area. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, giving a truly unique cave experience without sacrificing comfort. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great variety and fresh ingredients that made every morning special. The views from the property were stunning, especially at sunset, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I’d highly recommend Potamia Cave Suites to anyone visiting Cappadocia and would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Potomia Cave and Suites! Ahmet, the owner, is incredibly kind and helpful — he went above and beyond to organize taxis, recommend fantastic restaurants, and help us arrange activities. The rooms and property are absolutely gorgeous, spotless, and so well maintained. We enjoyed a delicious Turkish breakfast one morning, which was a highlight of our trip. Everything about our experience was wonderful, and we could not recommend this place more!

Calm, serene and picturesque location. Owner (Ahmet) was a gem and a kind hearted person. Everything near by. Original cave hotel with antique look.

As I write this review, I already find myself missing this place deeply. Staying at Potamia Cave Suites House was truly the best decision I could have made. There are three main reasons why I feel this way: First, the host. I’ve traveled all over the world, but I’ve never met a host as wonderful as him. He goes above and beyond to offer the best hospitality, and his kindness and thoughtfulness bring genuine happiness to every guest. Cappadocia itself is, of course, an incredible place—but next time, I will return not only for the destination, but to see him again. Second, the experience of Cappadocia here is both authentic and peaceful. While many sources recommend staying in Göreme, I must say that it has become quite crowded and lively—sometimes overwhelmingly so. If you want to truly appreciate the calm, authentic charm of Cappadocia, I strongly recommend staying in Ortahisar, where you can enjoy the beauty of the region in a serene and clean environment. Third, the location. While it’s true that staying in Göreme allows you to walk to some tourist spots, Ortahisar and Potamia Cave Suites House are just a 10-minute taxi ride away from the center. Personally, I believe it’s best to stay in a peaceful, beautiful area like this to truly rest and soak in the Cappadocian atmosphere—and simply visit Göreme for sightseeing when needed. Thank you so much for everything. I’ll be sending a personal message as well, but I truly hope that those considering a stay here will read this review and be encouraged to experience this amazing place for themselves.

Had an excellent 3-day stay in this hotel. Location and rooms - all overcame my expectations. Turkish breakfast was really good, too. The view there is just unreal. I’d spend whole 3 days chilling on one of the many beautiful terraces if not for the other beauties of Cappadocia. The host was very helpful and welcoming, too. Already wish to come there again ❤️
