JA Hotel Namba South

Compared to places back home, it's definitely on the smaller side, but for Japan, the size is actually quite acceptable. It wasn't as cramped or dated as I'd imagined. With the lights on, it felt quite cozy, and the window provided good natural light. My only minor gripes were the lack of complimentary water and that housekeeping only came every three days. On the plus side, there's a 7-Eleven nearby, which is super convenient, and it's also very close to Tenkachaya Station. The neighborhood is residential and felt very safe, completely unlike what some online comments suggest about the 'western district' being full of homeless people; even at 9 or 10 PM, there were no drunks or homeless individuals around. Luggage storage is under camera surveillance with no staff supervision, which initially made me a little worried, but my bags were perfectly safe after half a day. All in all, it's very affordable and offers excellent value for money. 🫶

The room was spotless, and all the facilities were complete. The check-in process was simple and hassle-free.

The location is superb! It's just a few minutes' walk from the metro station, and the area felt very safe. Despite being listed as only 10 square meters, there was plenty of room for me and my friend to fully open all our suitcases.
