Toyoko Inn Osaka Tenjinbashi-Suji Rokuchome

This is a business hotel conveniently located near a subway exit, surrounded by many great izakayas. The room includes breakfast, which changes daily, and the bathroom is quite spacious. There are skincare samples available in the lobby.

This was my second time staying at a Toyoko Inn, and it was just as clean and tidy as I remembered. It's small, but has everything you need. It's only a few hundred meters from Tenjimbashisuji 6-chome Station, so it's a quick walk. You can easily access the Sakaisuji Line, Tanimachi Line, and Hankyu Railway, which is super convenient. The lobby on the first floor offers coffee and complimentary toiletries, plus they even have free breakfast, which is rare for a Japanese hotel. Excellent value for money!

The hotel is quite convenient, not far from the subway station. Although it's a bit of a distance from the popular areas, there's a commercial street right next to it, which is very handy! There's even a ramen shop downstairs that always has a long line. The room was a bit small, but it had everything a solo traveler needs. Strangely enough, there was a fire alarm in the middle of the night during my stay. Everyone went downstairs in their pajamas, and after a lot of fuss, they just told us to go back up. I even forgot to grab my passport. Quite an experience!

It's pretty good. The room is clean, and I'm not sure what air freshener they use, but it smells really nice. There's a supermarket nearby, so it's easy to grab something to eat. The subway station isn't far either. I've stayed here a few times already.

Traveling to Japan during a busy period, everything was great. Coming out of Exit 11 of the subway, there's a direct escalator that leads you right onto the street shown in picture 2, which takes you to the hotel. Pictures 3, 4, and 5 show the route to the airport; going in the opposite direction will take you from the airport to the hotel. Nearby, there's a popular ramen spot with a queue, and a walkable natural hot spring with open-air baths. On the last day, it was incredibly relaxing to enjoy a hot spring soak after checking out. Picture 15 shows a large supermarket nearby, where you can find discounted sushi in the evenings and affordable fresh milk. The hotel offers complimentary espresso, and fresh milk is available for making your own lattes. The last picture shows the route to Kyoto, which is quick, inexpensive, and convenient. I highly recommend this hotel. They even have takoyaki for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed in room 619, a non-smoking room, and paid a 600 yen room tax upon arrival. Satisfied, and would also recommend for family stays.

Facilities: Only four years since renovation, very well maintained and feels new. Cleanliness: Excellent, truly reflects Japanese standards of cleanliness. Environment: Downtown location with convenient transportation. The subway exit is just 200 meters away, and right next to it is what's reputed to be the world's longest shopping street, similar to an indoor market back home. Osaka's most beautiful river is 500 meters away, and Osaka Castle is just 4 kilometers, making for a pleasant walk with plenty to see along the way. Service: There's a young man at the front desk, a Chinese expat who has been in Japan for 15 years. He's incredibly warm and hospitable, absolutely fantastic. Breakfast: It's an economy-style breakfast, perfectly acceptable for a quick bite.
