Daiwa Roynet Hotel Osaka-Kitahama

After three uncomfortable nights elsewhere, this hotel was a 100 times better! I booked a Deluxe Double Room, and it looked exactly like the pictures. I was drawn to the massage chair and the generous floor space. Overall, it was very clean and spacious, with windows that could open. The layout was simple and refreshing. The front desk is on the third floor, and they offer a variety of amenities (drip coffee, razors, bath powder, toothbrushes, and a big plus - makeup remover oil). The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Housekeeping cleans the rooms daily, but you need to put the 'please clean' sign on your door before 10 AM. The nearest subway entrance, Kitahama Station, is just a few steps to the right when you exit the hotel on the first floor. Also, if you walk straight for about 8-10 minutes from the hotel's first floor exit, you'll find a large supermarket called Life, and there are many cafes nearby. The only downside is that Kitahama Station requires a transfer to reach some tourist spots, but that doesn't diminish my positive feelings about this hotel. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Osaka.

As a local Japanese chain, Daiwa Roynet is definitely a high-value-for-money choice. Their locations are usually very convenient, and the rooms are quite spacious and well-equipped. The room decor is a simple business style, and amenities like toiletries, skincare products, tea bags, and drip coffee are all provided. The room cleaning is thorough, and the self-service check-in/check-out machines make the process very convenient. Osaka can be quite noisy, but this branch in Kitahama is located in a quiet area with fewer people, which I prefer. Yet, there's no shortage of stylish restaurants around the hotel. It's also very convenient for getting to Umeda, Shinsaibashi, Kyoto, Kobe, and the airport.
