Hotel New Otani Osaka

The room was great! It's rare to find a triple room in Osaka with three beds, a sofa, coffee table, and desk, where you can still open two large suitcases. The room was quite clean, and while the decor is a bit dated, it didn't affect our stay. If you don't hang the 'eco-friendly' sign outside your door, they clean the room and change the sheets and duvet covers daily. Overall, the service was very good. The hotel is right next to Osaka Castle Park, within easy walking distance. There are two subway lines nearby, both less than 300 meters away, which is very convenient. There's also a direct bus stop to Kansai Airport right downstairs. The two subway lines downstairs go directly to Shinsaibashi, so it's super convenient to get anywhere. There are several restaurants, Western and Japanese, and convenience stores near the Osaka Castle Park entrance.

The service was excellent; a bellboy helped with our luggage upon check-in. The room was quite spacious – our family room comfortably fit three beds. Breakfast on the first day was on the top floor with a great view of Osaka Castle. For the next two days, breakfast was on the first floor, which offered a wider variety of options. The hotel also provides a very convenient direct bus service to Kansai Airport and Kyoto in the mornings, though you need to check the schedule in advance.

First off, the room size is really good! For a hotel in Japan, it's quite spacious. Opening two suitcases was absolutely no problem. Secondly, the service was truly excellent, from the warm welcome to the room service, everything was very satisfying. The staff training is clearly top-notch. There's also a great selection of restaurants, and you can even get room service, with delicious food. If you want to see the night view of Osaka Castle, you can head to the 18F lounge and order a drink. It's only around 100+ per person, and if you grab a window seat, you'll get a fantastic view.

Hotel New Otani Osaka, founded by the 'Steel King' of Japan and former sumo wrestler Yataro Otani, boasts a prime location. From the moment you step onto the property, you're greeted by attentive staff who anticipate your needs; a mere glance of curiosity is enough to prompt their immediate assistance. The rooms offer stunning views of Osaka Castle and are impeccably cleaned with impressive efficiency. The hotel also features a wide array of high-quality restaurants. The only minor drawback is the internet speed, otherwise, everything else is excellent.

Super convenient for Universal Studios Japan!

The hotel's location is superb. It's a convenient 3-5 minute walk to Osakajokoen JR Station, making it easy to get anywhere. There's an elevator inside the station that goes directly to the exit. After exiting, you walk about a hundred meters along a corridor to another elevator that takes you to ground level. Cross a small bridge and an intersection, and you're at the hotel. This is incredibly convenient if you have large luggage. The hotel is situated on the northeast side of Osaka Castle Park, by a small bridge, so you can easily stroll along the castle moat anytime. Shopping and dining are also very convenient. Cross the overpass from the park's south exit, and you'll find Q's Mall. There are also countless restaurants if you walk to Kyobashi Station (and along the way). For airport transfers, take the JR line to Tennoji, then transfer to the JR Loop Line (red), and it's just six stops to Osakajokoen Station. The hotel's cleanliness and facilities are excellent, especially the soundproofing – it's very quiet. The mattress and pillows are just right, providing a great sleeping environment. The hotel service is highly professional, from the front desk and restaurant to the lobby and concierge. The breakfast is a rich blend of Western and Japanese styles (though the coffee was a bit weak). I stayed for seven nights in total and had a fantastic experience.

It's really beautiful at night, very comfortable and cozy.
