Stayed here with friends on my first trip to Japan. It's just a few minutes' walk from the subway station and the area is quiet. There are laundry facilities downstairs, though the dryer wasn't very effective 🤔. Conveniently, there's a Family Mart and a few eateries on the ground floor. Getting to the airport costs around 1300 JPY. Overall, it was a good stay.

On the downside, service was minimal; we had to take out our own trash, and the front desk only operates until 10 PM. The bed was also quite small. However, the room was well-equipped with kitchenware and featured a balcony, which was great for drying clothes. The space was also decent, allowing us to easily open two large suitcases. The surrounding area is incredibly convenient, with plenty of great dining options, and easy subway access makes getting around a breeze. This place is ideal for anyone looking to cook their own meals.

Good place. Actually self-service place, you have to run your room yourself, but it’s fine in here. Large main room, everything works. Quite small bathroom (for a foreigner), but extremely clean. We didn’t use the kitchen a lot due to vast amounts of restaurants all over the place.

we wanted space & cleanliness. this hotel checked both. complimentary one time room cleaning for stay more than a week. washing machine & dryers avail. microwave, cooker & induction avail in room if required. toilet is typical Japan hotel size. location just besides osaka castle. there was a supermarket a short walk away. several convenience stores from metro station to hotel. we wwouln’t mind staying here again. the reception ladies were extremely friendly & welcoming.

I had a great stay at HOTEL MYSTAYS Otemae. The location is absolutely unbeatable — just a 4-minute walk from Tanimachi 4-chome Station, which makes it super easy to get around Osaka. You can reach major spots like Hommachi or Umeda in minutes by subway. 👥 Friendly and professional staff The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were always ready to assist with questions or requests. They made us feel welcome from start to finish. 🌆 Perfect location for exploring You’re within walking distance of Osaka Castle, the Osaka Museum of History, and even Tenjinbashisuji, the longest shopping street in Japan. The neighborhood feels safe and lively, with everything you need within a few blocks.

We booked the place and arrived around 3:00 AM, but the staff member on duty said we couldn’t check in until 3:00 PM the next day. We were tempted to wait until then—thanks for the bench, I guess—but then we saw a rat crossing the passage. So, we decided to cancel the reservation, but the hotel promptly rejected our request. I wouldn’t call this a pleasant ‘stay’ experience, and I’d advise anyone considering booking here to think twice before doing so.

The hotel is located near to Tanimachi Station 4-Chome along Chuo Line. Lots of cafes surrounded this hotel. Even though the hotel looks a bit old. But overall are comfortable and clean.

The room was very big for one person, it was nice and spacious. I walked to most places in the end, no need to take public transport all the time. Easy check in and check out, perfect for a nice stay in the city.

If you can tolerate the loud sirens from fire trucks at night, the do-it-yourself trash dumping (there is a room on the first floor where you can throw trash away), and having to request towels yourself, you will likely enjoy your stay at this hotel.
