This is the 3rd time we've stayed here, and can never fault the excellent staff, Louis, Nadia, Ella, Karlie, great customer service, food, cocktails and rooms!

Great place for lunch outside on a sunny day with plenty of sunshaded tables. Chose chicken and bacon sandwiches which were focaccia bread and came with chips. Generous portion which we thought represents good value. Clearly popular with walkers as on coastal footpath. We drove and there is car park, but also saw cars parked on road, but not extensive parking here.

Excellent Sunday lunch at the smuggler Inn. Really nice selection of food, good wine and really nice staff. The location is spectacular. Very nice for walking afterwards when you’re quite full and decide you want to get rid of your calories!

We are a walking group that have for 20 years been walking the Purbecks. We know the pub well. Today we encountered an appalling attitude from the bar staff. Not welcoming, immediately telling us we couldn't have a tab for the 8 of us. This was then changed to provided we eat inside that was acceptable.. Lunch was ok but incredibly expensive. One beer and a mains left us paying with tip £33 per head - probably should have had the tip taken off the bill but didn't want to encounter a row. Lovely site but it clearly has lost touch with how to be good landlords - take care.

Only went to the restaurant but the food was mouth watering, and excellent service, specifically from a waiter called Joe who was marvellously helpfully, humorous and above all kind. Would recommend for the stunning views, gorgeous food and great service

The ambience is lovely. Staff really friendly. Beautiful pub. We had Sunday lunch. The vegetables really tasty. However had to pay extras for cauliflower cheese. Portions just aboit right but what ruined it was the meat. We chose beef but it was so tough we had difficulty cutting it let along chewing it. Food came out within 2 mins of ordering so felt a bit rushed. Would visit again as its a lovely pub in a beautiful setting but steer clear of the beef, certainly wasn't a good quality bit of meat!
