Comfort Inn Ottawa West- Kanata

Great staff. Old rooms. Location is pretty barren and in an awkward spot for walking.

I should have checked to see if there was an elevator as coming off a flight it was not the most accessible. Though there was parking, there were several restriction. When I went to check out (which they require you to drop off the key), I waited over 10 minutes for someone to arrive at the desk. I ended up just leaving the key as I had a flight out to catch. Breakfast was good.

Property was clean and check in was pretty easy going. Myself and 3 of my children aged 22 ,18, and 15 were with me in town for a concert. We shared a 2 queen bed room. Upon check in, i asked for a couple of extra blankets so we could each have our own. I was advised that they didnt have any extra. Which made me think, what if someone spilled something on their blanket, or an accident of some sort, would they have to sleep with just the sheet? Anyways preparing for bed i sent our 15 yr old down to get earplugs for everyone. He quickly returned with earplugs for us all. I forgot to mention, we didn't get the blankets the first night. Second night rolls around and i ask again, the gentleman seemed perturbed by the request, and said there are no extra comforters, but gave me a fleece type blanket which was full of lint balls and told me its the only one left. While getting blanket, i forgot to ask for more earplugs for night 2. Sent my youngest again and the gentleman again seemed put out by the request saying, didnt i give you some yesterday. To which my son said yes and we need more. I dont know about you, but the thought of re using earplugs doesnt appeal to me. 2 very small requests, blankets and earplugs and felt like i was asking for the moon. Not very welcoming feeling. Not likely to stay here again

This hotel is well maintained. I like that the flooring in the room is luxury vinyl plank because carpeting tends to be odorous.

The room looked nice at first glance but the bathroom hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. There were hairs on the floor in the bathroom and in the shower. I woke up with a red rash on both my ankles that wasn't there when I went to bed and my ankles are now very swollen and painful. The clerk at the counter was nice but was coughing and sneezing. He had a mask on but still, we didn't really want to take the key from him.

Room was renovated new. Very clean and modern. Very happy with our visit

If this hotel charged $150-$200 they would get a 5 star rating because you would be getting value for your money. At the $350/night we were charged.. not worth it at all!!

Excellent breakfast with lots of choice and replenished quickly, even when a couple of sports teams went through.

My stay was great, super clean and everything great except on ******* it didn't say about paying for the pet which I learned when I reached the hotel. Staffs were great too.
