Our stay at the zwartberg view mountain lodge was not less than fantastic ! We hardly ever had a room (or lodge) with such a spectacular view, whilst animals are showing up just in front of us. When you do the hike around you are able to see all animals that are in the neighborhood. additionally the diner that's being served is really nice. The owners do everything they can to make your stay unforgettable.

This was what we needed! A small family run game lodge. Super quiet super friendly and super clean! Dinner where of a very good quality. A must stay in the oudshoorn area. We traveled with our 20 month old child and everything was perfect. Hiking in the mountains while looking at the giraffe ! Just book it!

We had a wonderful time here. Spectacular views, lovely accommodation. Food was great and the service was above and beyond. We did the Meiringpoort 21km race and Zwartberg is in perfect proximity to the race. Varley, his wife and sons went out of their way - organising sandwiches for us after the race as we missed breakfast. We definitely plan to be back again for next year’s race if not before

Awesome people with great hospitality and a warm home feel. Food was superb and very tasty. Felt like we were visiting long lost family. Had such a good time. Great views and super comfortable and clean rooms. Great place to take a break. Superb cycling area.

Exceptional accommodation and ideal for a short trip to the little Karoo. From here you can plan wonderful excursions with short distances, e.g. to the Cango Caves. The helpful and very friendly hosts are happy to help with anything. The F&B, services and cleanliness are excellent and the price/performance ratio is top.

We stayed here in March 2024 and had the most amazing stay! The pool overlocking grazing giraffes and zebras was an absolute treat and the food was easily the best we have had in our whole stay in South Africa. Service was amazing and couldn't do enough to help us. All in all our best stay of the holiday

A very pleasant experience. The hosts went out of their way to give us the best time possible and the food was top class. Sitting on the deck watching the sun set with a fire on the foreground is the essence of a trip to SA and you surely get it there. We did the hike on the farm and that was really beautiful. Those rock formations are just so impressive. We were quite surprised with the amount of animals roaming in this part of the country. Being locals and frequent visitors to the Kruger, the animals were nice, but not what the visit was about for us. The cottages are comfortable and takes care of all your needs.

This was a fantastic place, the area is beautiful and quiet. Having dinner watching the zebras was just fantastic. The room we stayed in was called springbok and everything was perfectly matching. On the evening we had the best steak cooked for us.
