Sophienhof is an absolute gem of a retreat. The chalet was perfect for a couples retreat, Willem was an excellent host an looked after all our needs. The roaming buck and giraffe added to our stay and we will definitely return for a spoil.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sophienhof. We saw many different animals at the game drive and at the various waterholes, it was a big adventure for the children as well. The staff and owners are very hospitable and so friendly and the cuisine at the restaurant was outstanding and made with the freshest home grown ingredients. We will for sure come visit again. Thank you for an excellent experience.

Great staff, meals and activities. Could have stayed much longer. There are no larger game like lions, leopards or elephants, but there is an abundance of wildlife and a game drive is entertaining. They also have e-motorbikes which are great fun for getting around the vast land.

Beautiful lodge on the road to etosha, they wait until 20 for the check-in (very fast no documents required) then they prepare a very good dinner (meat) and a very good breakfast with hot bread. The room have shower and wc in two separate room. near the bed are available usb socket international socket and namibian socket. Wifi is available. Mosquito repellent are available too

Everything was perfect, we stayd wery well. Nice place and perfect location to stay in peace. Total silence during the night with a lot of animals all around. We wiil return there if possible in future.

Very pleasant stay at Sophienhof. Thank you for accomodating our last-minute reservation. Rooms was very comfortable and folding beds were installed for our children. All lodge staff was very welcoming and helpful, food was excellent. We also really appreciated the game drive and the variety of animals.

Stayed here for one night in October - our first night in Namibia this year - but wish we had stayed longer. It's a lovely place and really interesting. Lots of birds, butterflies etc. Staff all really friendly and food excellent. Really peaceful.

Great setting, very nice bungalows, but the most important: very relaxed atmosphere and very nice staff that know how to deal with foreigners. The game drive – and especially the driver – is highly recommended. The area is very big and lots of animals to see. The lovely driver is very enthusiastic and you can feel how much he likes his job and the animals. From ostrich and gepard feeding to seeing girafes and one hippo (they are waiting for the 2nd hippo at the moment) and rhinos as well. Also to mention the very delicious German bread that is baked there and offered for breakfast.
