Getting to build a home from the ground up is such a mix of endurance and expression. At some point you find a vision for the home you are building and then you try to be true to it. You battle your budget, contractors, time, and compromise all in the pursuit of your vision. I remember standing on the second floor looking out over the great room and wanting to keep that sense of shared space. The post and beam glass wall is the result. Half of the furniture was designed and commissioned for this home. I sweated the details and fought hard for this space to become what it is. Lewis is open and full of natural light. It is comfortable and even a bit luxurious. It is your space to escape to, spoil yourself with and remember what it means to relax.Lewis represents four years of construction, creative expression and collaboration with local artists and artisans. It is deeply personal yet designed to share.I am currently working on the common grounds east of Lewis & Clark. There is usually 2 people working M-F.
