Well where to start Can safely say we have been to many hotels all across Europe and beyond This is by far the best Every attention to detail has been made From a fantastic sea view room with a fully stocked mini bar to complimentary wine and fruit on arrival We were all inclusive which gave us Unlimited access to the a la carte restaurant Which we frequented almost every evening The staff were attentative and delightful the food was exceptional This also applied to the other restaurants on the complex An easy walk into paphos where there are numerous bars and restaurants if you fancy a change (about 20min) The last evening we were brought a complimentary bottle of champagne which is a fantastic touch In summary can't fault this place it idyllic peaceful and a wonderful experience Well done everyone at athena Royal with our gratitude and thanks

So disappointed with this allegedly 4* hotel. The main hotel was very nice but classic rooms are so outdated and desperately in need of an upgrade. The showers and bathrooms are particularly in need of refurbishment. We paid for a sea view but one of our rooms on floor one was like looking at a concrete jungle. They did get another room but the design of the hotel means you do get a sea view but you are blinkered by the hideous concrete balconies. I’d like to know where all these lovely staff were that people talk about , as most of the staff we came across were bordering on the rude! The nicest staff were the youngsters working the bar on the roof terrace. That was our favourite place as the entertainment was dreadful and obviously catered to the mainly over 75 year old guests. We paid a lot for this hotel and we were all bitterly disappointed! I don’t usuallly bother with reviews but we were so unhappy with this hotel we felt it was needed. I very much doubt I’d go back!

My wife and I have just returned from a week stay at the Athena Royal and we could not fault it. All staff were friendly and efficient , the food was superb with plenty of choice . The hotel was spotless with well kept grounds containing ample sun loungers. There was good evening entertainment and plenty of daytime activities to appeal to all. We felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Management, especially Andreas, took time to chat to guests and one got the feeling that you were truly welcome. Our sea view Elite class room was well equipped with the excellent housekeeping staff attending twice daily to renew towels and replenish water. We definitely intend to plan a return visit

This was my first trip to Cyprus and I would definitely recommend it. The hotel was ideally situated for the beach and a short walk into town there is also a selection of shops and bars opposite the resort. The bus service is also very easy to travel further afield. The standards in the hotel were excellent plenty of sun beds and shades for all the place was immaculate in all areas in standard of cleaning and maintenance. The staff were all so helpful and friendly , and seemed happy to work there. there was always a management team presence to ensure you were happy with everything. Special thanks to Andreas the deputy manager for his service and kindness making us feel welcome. The hotel is also ideally situated for the airport and a short commute . They also have 3 more hotels in the are that you are able to use for meals or entertainment as you are given a credit card for staff to scan . I will definitely return for another visit

Great hotel,first time here and chosen as an adults only on a b & b basis but we ate in the buffet restaurant 3 times for evening meal. This was excellent value and the choice and quality of food was up there with the best. We also ate out at nearby restaurants, in particular the Ocean Basket over the road, another great restaurant on a small complex of bars and restaurants. The hotel is only 20 mins transfer from the airport and is ideally situated for either a bus or taxi journey (5mins) into the lovely town of Paphos and it’s Harbour and Marina, such a good choice of bars and restaurants all reasonably priced. There is a beachfront walk which is flat that also takes you into Paphos. The hotel is spotlessly clean with great facilities.The staff were so helpful and the Wi-Fi (free) is good all around the complex.

As a solo traveller this hotel is absolutely perfect. I always feel so looked after and nothing is too much trouble. So quiet and peaceful which is just what I want! I booked a Superior Deluxe Sea View room on 4th Floor which was fantastic and included a private Cabana but the sea! Late arrival meant there was a lovely platter of cold meats and cheeses, with a bottle of red waiting in my room. I went for the all inclusive and the food is excellent and great choice. The room was cleaned to an excellent standard every day and the staff in the bars and restaurants were excellent and very attentive! A big shout out to Sukhie, a member of the outdoor bar staff at the sunbeds! Always ensured my glass wasn’t empty! One of the many great things about this hotel is there are more sunbeds than guests and there is lots of space! I’ll be back next year!

We had booked here in the summer of 2016, but when we arrived we were offered an upgrade to the Assima Suite hotel which was just along the road. It’s taken us 8 years to get round to coming back…..so many places to see in the world. This hotel is first class and is spotlessly clean. The wi-fi signal is very good no matter where we were, either inside or outside in the hotel grounds. That’s important for me as it allows my to keep on top of the work emails. Our room, a superior double with sea view can’t be faulted. It’s very spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff are both friendly and helpful. Overall it ranks among the best we’ve been to over the years. Hopefully it won’t be another 8 years before we return.

We found the Athena Royal the best hotel in Cyprus, with great views and great location, Cleanliness is spot on in every areas of the hotel, The food and drink is top class, with plenty of variety, Staff (all members) are so friendly and are excellently trained, they honestly go out of their way to help if needed, We have visited Cyprus numerous times but once we found this hotel we knew there and then that we would be repeat customers, Hence we can’t wait to visit for our 4th time in June! 😊

the exterior of this hotel is beautiful but the interior is pretty dated. my room was pretty small with two single beds. there was a weird misted window in-between the bathroom and the bedroom, so whenever we needed the toilet in the night we couldn’t turn the bathroom light on or it would light up the whole bedroom too! very inconvenient. the walls were also very thin so i could hear what was going on in the hallway, and the housekeeping was done early morning and late in the evening and the staff were so loud talking to each other and talking on their phones which disturbed me every day. there was a good variety of food every night so that’s a positive.
