Pros: Location: Situated in Paris's 17th arrondissement, the hotel is conveniently close to the Palais des Congrès. It's just a 5-minute walk to Porte Maillot metro and bus stations, making it highly convenient for business travelers (La Défense business district is only about 3 km away) and tourists alike (Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées are about a 20-minute walk or a few metro stops away). Surroundings: The area is quiet yet bustling, with local markets, traditional French cafes, and convenience stores nearby. It boasts excellent amenities and is relatively safe. 🛏️ Room Space and Comfort: Spacious Rooms: In Paris, where space is at a premium and most hotel rooms are small, this hotel's rooms (standard rooms are about 22 square meters) feel incredibly spacious. This feature is highly praised by guests with large luggage. Modern Design: The rooms feature AC Hotels' signature modern minimalist style, with clean parquet flooring, a highly comfortable king-size bed, excellent blackout curtains, and a bright, spacious walk-in shower with a separate wet/dry area. Eco-friendly and Thoughtful Touches: Each floor has a water dispenser providing complimentary still and sparkling water, which is very convenient for guests. Some 'Parisian view rooms' on higher floors even offer a chance to glimpse the Eiffel Tower or the La Défense skyline from the room. 🍳 Dining and Facilities: Highly-rated Breakfast: The American-style buffet breakfast at the hotel's Gus Restaurant receives excellent reviews. The exquisite French croissants, traditional breads, fresh fruits, yogurts, and a wide variety of hot dishes are all of high quality. 24-hour Gym: The hotel offers a free-access fitness center with new equipment, ideal for guests who maintain a workout routine. Driver-Friendly: There's a secure private underground parking lot (additional charges apply), which is a huge plus for those traveling by car in Paris. Cons: Standardized Business Style: The overall design leans towards a modern, international chain business aesthetic. Guests looking for traditional French architecture or a vintage romantic atmosphere might find it lacks a bit of 'Parisian charm.' Noise in Specific Room Types: A few guests have reported slight vibrations or noise late at night if their room was directly above or below the 24-hour gym. It's advisable to request a room away from the gym during check-in.

Taking a taxi from Charles de Gaulle Airport to the hotel takes about 30 minutes when there's no traffic. The hotel is also just an 8-minute taxi ride from the Arc de Triomphe. For public transport, bus 82 stops near the Eiffel Tower and goes directly to my favorite, Luxembourg Gardens. Walking to the metro station seemed a bit far, so I didn't try it. Upon check-in, I was initially given a first-floor room, despite my reservation explicitly requesting a high-floor room near the elevator. The room I got was on the first floor and far from the elevator. I immediately spoke to the front desk to request a higher floor and a room closer to the elevator. The front desk agent said there were no high-floor rooms available but did move me to a room closer to the elevator. I'm not sure if the hotel has a bias against Chinese guests regarding high-floor rooms, but I was quite dissatisfied with this aspect. The hotel is right next to a busy highway with constant traffic, but thankfully, the soundproofing in the room was excellent. The bottled water provided in the room didn't taste good; it seemed like purified tap water. There were no slippers or toothbrushes in the room (good thing I brought my own toothpaste and toothbrush). After calling, a staff member brought slippers to my room.

It’s a good deal for the money. In walking distance, there are many local restaurants. I enjoyed staying at this hotel overall.

The hotel facade is average in size, and the front desk is quite simple, giving it the feel of a budget hotel back home. It seems most guests here are business travelers. We had an early flight, and to our surprise, the front desk gave us our rooms ahead of time when we checked in. I booked two rooms, and they gave us a connecting family room, which was super convenient. Our room was near the elevator, but the soundproofing was excellent; we didn't hear any strange noises. Occasionally, we'd hear an ambulance outside, probably because it's close to a main road. Overall, we were quite satisfied with the room size and cleanliness. The room had a peeler and a bottle opener, which was a really thoughtful touch. There were no complimentary bottled water, but there was a glass water bottle, and you could refill it with iced or sparkling water by the elevator. The breakfast was plentiful every day, although it didn't change much during our three-day stay. Check-out time is 12 PM, which is quite generous for Europe, and you can try asking the front desk for a late check-out. In terms of transport, it's a bit far from the subway station, about a 10-minute walk. If you're with a group, taking an Uber might be more convenient.

The location is decent, though it requires a bit of a walk. However, it's still convenient for getting to the city center and Disneyland. The front desk service was just okay. This area is quiet and safe, with fewer people, but it is a bit far from the city.

The environment is good, but there are no facilities at all, not even a gym, yet they charge such a high room rate. There's no kettle in the room, the coffee machine doesn't work, and the service attitude is just average; it felt a bit like discrimination against Asians. Most importantly, there was a power outage one night from 7 PM until almost midnight, and we weren't compensated for anything.

No complimentary water was provided in the room, so I had to go downstairs to buy some. Strangely, there was a third bed in my room when I checked in.

My stay at the AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot by Marriott was fantastic overall! The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the cleanliness truly deserved 5 stars. The location is incredibly convenient, very close to the metro, making it ideal for shopping and transportation. The staff were friendly and professional, and the facilities were excellent; both the room and public areas felt luxurious and comfortable.

Huge thanks to the handsome front desk staff for upgrading our room! Everything about this hotel is fantastic – great ambiance, excellent service, and a superb location that makes getting around super convenient. We'll definitely consider staying here again next time we're in Paris!

Went to Paris with friends to see Emil Chau's concert. We picked a hotel near the venue, and the room was very clean and bright. The front desk service was excellent, and breakfast was Western style.

This hotel offers basic amenities, similar to a typical budget hotel. For a comparable price, the Hyatt next door provides a significantly better experience.

The room facilities are old; it feels like the last renovation was over 10 years ago.

The location is fantastic, very close to the subway, and you can easily walk to nearby attractions. It's clean, and being a chain hotel, it feels safe and reliable. Communication was smooth, and check-in/check-out was convenient. My friends all thought it was a great place.
