Pullman Paris Centre - Bercy

Pictures speak a thousand words!! It was an absolute nightmare. The bedside lamp was broken, flickering on and off, and when we first checked in, we found a previous male guest's underwear in the bathroom!!! Ctrip customer service and the hotel were no help, offering no apologies, only agreeing to change our room. After a long flight and just landing in the middle of the night, I was absolutely furious 🔥. I will never choose this place again, it was terrible. We were two women staying there, and we were quite shaken.

Getting here from Charles de Gaulle Airport cost 40 Euros by Bolt, or you can take Metro Line 14 and walk 5 minutes from the station to the hotel. The hotel is next to Bercy Park and a shopping area, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets, making it very convenient. It's also a 10-minute walk to the Flixbus stop. The hotel itself is grand and spacious, and the rooms are large. The single beds are 1.2 meters wide. The mini-fridge comes stocked with 4 bottles of water, 2 cans of Coke, and a small bottle of orange juice, all complimentary. I was quite surprised to find two ping-pong tables in the hotel lobby. Check-in requires a credit card deposit; we paid 300 Euros for a two-night stay. I didn't try the hotel breakfast, but the restaurant environment looked very nice.

The front desk service was terrible. Even though I spoke French, they still assigned me the worst room on the worst floor. It felt like racial discrimination against Chinese guests. The view from the window was just the rooftop of the first-floor lobby, with nothing but rubble and cigarette butts. Highly unrecommended!

The hotel is quite close to the subway. Just a short walk to the left after exiting, there's a Carrefour supermarket, a cinema, and many restaurants. The breakfast is quite refined, and every type of bread was delicious. The mini potatoes were especially good 😋 — highly recommended! However, the rooms are very old. The hallway carpet had a musty smell, and the room did too. It's an old hotel.

Overall, for a hotel in Paris, this one offers good value for money. Although it's located in the 12th arrondissement, which is a bit suburban, the proximity to the metro station makes it very convenient. It's only two stops to the famous Châtelet station. The room wasn't small either. It seems like many Accor brand hotels are in this area. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. However, finding a laundromat was really difficult and far – you'd probably need an electric scooter to get to a residential area about 2 kilometers away. What's highly recommended is their gym. It occupies the entire basement level and even offers free apples for an energy boost. There's a wide variety of equipment, and the dumbbells come in a full range of weights, including heavy ones. There are also different small rooms for individual workouts, along with separate restrooms and shower rooms. My biggest disappointment was their breakfast. Even though the ingredients seemed high-quality and possibly organic, paying nearly 200 RMB per person and not finding anything that suited a Chinese palate and was healthy was frustrating. There were no leafy green vegetables, just some very basic, raw cabbage hearts. Some of the cold cuts were surprisingly unappetizing. The staff also seemed very rushed. I only found out after leaving that you could ask a server for coffee. The only thing I'd recommend is the freshly made omelets – bring your own vegetables to get enough protein. Taste-wise, it was honestly not as good as Hampton by Hilton. Another overall impression is that hotels in France don't have the same warmth as those in Belgium, and the English proficiency was slightly inferior. Don't even expect any Chinese-speaking staff.

They stopped cleaning after 12 PM. I went to the front desk several times, and each time they said it would be taken care of, but nothing changed when I got back.

Booked this for my boss. The initial room had an odor, but the staff were very proactive and helpful in arranging a different one, which we appreciated! It's also super close to the office, within walking distance, which is very convenient. The room size was also quite suitable.

Our room was on a renovated floor, and the paint smell was incredibly strong, which was a big concern since we were traveling with children. The showerhead in the bathroom was broken, though still usable, and there was no remote control for the TV. We also found there was no trash can in the room. We called the front desk to request a trash can and a remote, but they weren't provided.
