Hotel Montmartre

The hotel was well situated, modest, clean. What occurred which seems to be a practice, is that there was an error in booking so that we were booked for an extra night we could not use. In any other hotel I've stayed at if there is an error where a customer cannot use a room for part of the stay, especially with notice, there is some sort of refund. Instead we were offered a future stay (verbally, not in any written form). I am not in a position to know that I will ever be in Paris again, so this is not something I can use. I told the owner this. The owner mentioned something about fees. I asked what the fees were so I could pay that portion. The owner then laughed and walked away. Disgusting. Based on other reviews this is their practice.
