Spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed, nice welcome and help with directions. Didn't have breakfast, found a local cafe instead. Taxi to airport arrived even earlier than booked and charges are clearly displayed in the foyer. This is a small hotel on a quiet street a few minutes walk from two Metros - the Bonne Nouvelle and Strasbourg St Denis so right in the heart of the Marais. The tiny lift has barely room for one person and a suitcase! For a solo two night stay, it was perfect though I might have preferred a room overlooking the street rather than mine which opened onto a shaft.

The room is really small, especially we were booked on the sixth floor with a low ceiling. The rooms above the fourth floor cannot be accessed by be the elevator. From the 4th floor. You will carry your luggage by a narrow stairs unfortunately. A good exercise during winter time :). But the location is super close to the metro and good restaurants and bars. Staff were helpful too and were here 24hrs.

Loved staying at the Hôtel bonna nouvelle. Great hotel, clean, renovated rooms, AC working great. Area is a bit dodgy but not unsafe.

Horrible service!
Toilet flush button stopped working, and we were told they "couldn't" get someone to fix it until the next day.
We had to stick our hand through a hole in the wall to flush for 36 hours before it was fixed.
Also, the aircon is remotely controlled by them so you'll never get the temperature you select on the controller. It goes up several degrees shortly after you set it.

The Bonne Nouvelle is a great hotel. The staff are really helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean with nice wall mounted TV's and a coffee machine and the location is ideal. Several Metro stations close by, lots of bars and restaurants round the corner and handy shops to buy food and drink from. Highly recommended.

Room located on 5th floor. Elevator only goes to 4th floor. Location on side street with a lot of graffiti around.
Staff very nice. But you coukd see something behind their desk that monitors all the a/c’s. We found the temperature of our room turned back up 3 seperate times!!!

We stayed at this hotel so that we could watch the Tour De France for the weekend. The location is great, with attractions like The Champs Elysee, and Louvre all being within walking distance. The metro is only a 5 minute walk away also. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the area but the hotel is quiet. The staff at the hotel were lovely and welcoming, and the room was clean and bigger than expected. It was spotless, had WiFi, nice toiletries, a coffee machine and macarons on arrival. This was such good value for money and a lovely hotel that we would definitely come back!

Arrived at Gare du Nord, took the metro to Bonne Novelle and then walked 5 minutes to the hotel. The welcome was warm and friendly, check in was easy and we were upgraded! Our room was a good size, with a private bathroom, TV, coffee machine, toiletries and a long double opening window overlooking the street. It was on the 4th floor and we could see the laser lights from the tower. We slept with the window open as it was hit and had a great night's sleep. The area is full of bars and restaurants within a 2 minute walk. We had dinner at an Italian Trattoria across the road, it was lovely. We did not have breakfast as we were leaving early, but it is available. Great stay. Would stay here again.

It is a typical Paris hotel; clean, small, noisy. We liked it a lot. But I do wish we had known that the tiny elevator only goes up to the fourth floor, and there were 33 additional steps to drag up our suitcases.
