Hotel Ile de France Opéra

Staff was amazing always smiley and very helpful. There was a coffee and fresh orange in the lobby available for customers. However, the room was really really really small. There was these double door that didn’t make much sense to me and was making a lot of noise always I wanted to go in or out.

Would not recommend this hotel… everything is super old. Cleaning is very poor and you have to climb rough stairs to get to bathroom. Table is barely holding together… few positive things: great location, coffee and spacious shower.

Our recent stay at Hotel Ile de France was overshadowed by an appalling incident that has left us deeply dismayed. While certain aspects of our visit, such as the courteous cleaning team and satisfactory breakfast, were commendable, the gross mishandling of our belongings by the hotel manager has irreversibly tainted our experience. To our astonishment and disbelief, we discovered upon departure that our 2 samsonite luggages worth more than 400$, including a sample item worth $1200, had been disposed of without our consent. This egregious disregard for our property rights is utterly unacceptable in any hospitality establishment. Despite the manager's purported experience in the industry, her decision to discard our belongings without consultation or notification is nothing short of scandalous. Furthermore, her refusal to acknowledge the severity of her error and offer appropriate restitution is deeply disappointing. Regrettably, we can no longer recommend Hotel Il de France to fellow travelers. The flagrant disregard for guest property and the lack of accountability displayed by the management cast a dark shadow over what could have been an enjoyable stay. We implore the hotel to address this matter promptly and implement measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

First off, I'd like to say the hotel staff were very kind and helpful and the location of this hotel is IDEAL! Unfortunately I think the hotel could use an upgrade everywhere. The elevator didn't go up to the floor we were staying on.. there were someone else's hair in our bathroom.. the heat was blasting and could not be turned off/AC could not be turned on so we basically had to sweat it out all night. Another note, not sure if this is common throughout Paris, but we had to return our key everytime we left the hotel and request it when we returned. I didn't like that at all and wish we knew ahead of time. That being said, the hotel is in a great neighborhood!
