We spent 3 days in Paris (July 25, 26 & 27) before boarding our river boat on the Seine. We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Lutetia Hotel, and it was fabulous. Everyone including the hotel manager, were very focused on customer service. We were welcomed upon arrival by the manager and offered whatever he could do to make our stay enjoyable. We particularly want to complement the Concierge staff. We have never had such excellent service from a hotel staff as they gave us. One person in particular we want to point out is Cheyenne Renard, she was wonderful and made our stay most enjoyable. When we return to Paris, we will make sure to stay at the Lutetia and will recommend it to everyone.

At first, ours was not a perfect stay. Before we even arrived, there was an issue with a reservations agent at the hotel. Hopefully this was an isolated incident with a particular hotel employee who did not take the time to understand our difficult situation after a surprise ground crew strike at Milan airports delayed our arrival by a day. However, the swift and overwhelmingly kind response by the Lutetia's upper management team, once they learned of our plight, elevated our experience to that befitting a Mandarin property. Indeed, it vaulted our opinion of the Mandarin Lutetia into that truly rarified group at the absolute top of Parisian hotels—if you have stayed in any of them, you know which ones are currently deserving of this title. In particular, we would single out the Guest Relations Manager, Victoria Clement, for assertively managing our stay experience once she learned about what had happened to us. This sort of concern and empathy are unfortunately quite rare so it really shines brightly when someone like Victoria assumes responsibility for your stay. Without revealing too many specifics, I will say that she completely took command of our experience and showed us how palatial a Mandarin Lutetia stay could be. We would also express our appreciation to Roman Griesshaber, the Director of Rooms, who also took the time to listen to our concerns and allowed Victoria to address them in the kindest fashion. We spend at lot of our time in Paris in the 6th and truly welcome this amazing property on the Left Bank. We look forward to staying at the Mandarin Oriental Lutetia again on our next visit to Paris in a few months!

We are actually still in-house and although checking out in a few hours, I felt compelled to write this review while my thoughts are still fresh in my head. Having been to Paris many times, and fortunately, having stayed in the best hotels, I am very happy to say that the Mandarin Oriental Lutetia is now my favorite, and it is not even close! The location of the hotel in the heart of the 6th district is outstanding. The area around the hotel is beautiful, and since Paris is a city where you walk a lot, the location is with 20 minutes of everything we wanted to visit. Lucky for us, the weather was also perfect, which made walking a pleasure. As far as the hotel itself is concerned, there are too many positive things to say, but for this I will say that the service is impeccable, friendly, professional and incredibly attentive. The front desk staff, the concierge, the bellmen, the servers in the restaurants, housekeeping, management and everyone at the property are obviously very well trained on how to deliver the very best in service. The rooms are magnificent, large and very comfortable, and they contain everything you need to have a perfect stay. The bathrooms are beautiful and huge, with a wonderful bathtub and a massive shower. Turn down service is also wonderful. The staff sets the bedroom up for a perfect night's sleep. Although we ate out during the days, we fully enjoyed the breakfast and the two dinners we had at night, which by the way, we asked to have delivered to the bar for more action since it was during fashion week. My wife thought it was an odd request, but there was no hesitation in the hotel's desire to make us comfortable by catering to our needs, literally and figuratively. On an unrelated note, having been to Paris many times over the last 40 years, I have definitely seen changes in the city. The media has done a job on Paris by saying that it is no longer the safe city it used to be, but we experienced no issues during our trip. Security in the hotel is obviously the best it can be, but outside of the hotel in the areas we visited, Paris was alive and comfortable, and we felt perfectly safe. Although our trip was a very quick getaway, because we now live in Europe, we will be back to the Mandarin again and again in the future. For us, there is simply no better hotel in the city, and we hope you feel the same after you visit this incredible property. Well done, Mandarin Lutetia. Well done indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, this is the best hotel I have ever encountered, even considering my 40+ years of business travel and staying in 4-5-star hotels all over the world. The good news is that every aspect was exceptional, beyond exceptional, completely unexpected. I felt like royalty. The bad news is that the experience spoiled me and tarnished the “reputations” of the six remaining hotels that I stayed in during my three-week visit to France. None other could measure up, particularly when it came to SERVICE and how I was treated, from the moment I stepped into the hotel, during every restaurant visit (especially breakfast), and even the housekeeping staff. I have to thank (and credit) Tauck for the introduction to Lutetia, but trust me, I will be returning! They need SIX stars!

My daughter and I traveled to Paris in August 2025 to celebrate her 16th birthday and spent 5 nights at the Lutetia. From the moment we were greeted at the airport until we hopped in a taxi to head out, every member of the staff was warm, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. Check-In: The process was incredibly smooth. We were exhausted from a long journey and no sleep. Pierre was helpful and efficient and made sure we were in our room within ten minutes of arriving at the hotel. Dining: We ate in each of the hotel's restaurants and had a drink/snack at the bar. All of the spaces are lovely and the service is again top notch. Food and drinks were outstanding (the steak frites in Le Saint-Germain were a trip highlight). I have to give special recognition to Azzedine in the Brasserie. He really made us feel at home each morning, remembering my latte order and making time to chat with us. Room: We were upgraded to a deluxe room with a balcony (booked through AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts Program). The room was spacious and well-appointed and the beds very comfortable. Housekeeping service twice per day. Highlights: I had mentioned that we were traveling to celebrate my daughter's birthday and we were greeted with the most lovely room decorations (balloons, a spread of desserts including a chocolate sharpei, a special "happy birthday" pillow on her bed). I had expected a note and maybe a little cake, but this was really above and beyond. On another occasion, a member of the housekeeping staff stopped by to make sure everything was okay with our room. I asked her what the name of the hotel scent is (the whole place smells amazing....it's Culti Mediterranea) and she told me it could be purchased in the hotel boutique. The next day we returned to our room to find a few scented sachets for us to take home. For such a grand hotel, there is zero pretense. You get the sense that the staff at the Lutetia truly enjoys working in hospitality and making people feel welcome. We've been fortunate to travel and stay at many five star properties, but the Lutetia really stands out for this reason. I have no reason to go back to Paris in the foreseeable future, but I'm looking for one just so I can return to this wonderful hotel.
