Property Description
Secluded, fully remodeled ranch home nestled in the forest about 1.5 miles off the highway with great access with the only sound being heard is the wind blowing through the ponderosa pines. The 200 acre private property is surrounded by National Forest service land with over 100 miles of adjoining ATV/ UTV trails, abundant wildlife that live or pass through the property (deer, elk, badgers, bears, turkey, squirrels, rabbits, ducks and geese are all seen regularly) and 10+ miles of private mountain biking/ hiking trails on site. The daytime views of Pikes Peak and the night-time stargazing is amazing on a moonless night, the view of the Milky Way on a clear night is spectacular.
With so much to do on the property and amazing sunshine, perfect summer time temperatures and endless activities on the ranch all in perfect comfort. You and your family can hike, mountain bike, explore the native and mining history, frisbee golf, climb, shoot and in 2026 paddleboard, kayak, fish all on the very private property. It’s like having a whole resort to yourself.
The home was completely remodeled in 2023 and has a modern farmhouse open concept design that includes 7 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, and can sleep up to18 people. This property was once part of the historical town of Hayman, Colorado with lots of 19th century western cowboy history. The now ghost town of Hayman has 3 remediated mines on the property, 2 run down cabins with an old stove inside, multiple foundations/ root cellars, leftover supplies in spots and includes part of the Gottlieb Fluhman ranch (Gottlieb was murdered in the nearby Death Cave https://www.coloradocentralmagazine.com/really-happened-gottlieb-fluhmann/) allegedly by a Benjamin Ratcliff who later hung for murdering two members of the local school board in 1895.
Next to the property is the M Lazy C ranch (https://mlazyc.com) with horseback riding, chuckwagon dinners, guided hunting/ guided trout fishing on a Gold Medal stretch of the South Platte. Also nearby is Eleven Mile Reservior (kayaking, paddle boarding, sail-boarding, windsurfing, fishing, more mountain biking & hiking), Florissant Fossil Beds (fossilized trees and nearby private fossil hunting and hiking), Buena Vista (ropes course, hot springs, white water rafting, zip lining), Breckenridge & Monarch (golfing, scenic mountain town, shopping, skiing, etc) as well as Pikes Peak (drive or take the train), Santa's North Pole (Kids themed amusement park), Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs with Garden of the Gods, Native American dwellings, Cave of the Winds and amazing golf at the Broadmoor.

What a beautiful ranch. The house was perfect with wrap around deck, hot tub and very secluded. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen well stocked with a great gas grill. Can't say enough about this place. Will definitely stay again!

Super place for adventure
This place is a wonderful place for families to make memories. The older kids did a lot of hiking and exploring. We would have liked to fish but that wasn't available. the young ones Loved the trampoline and playset. The only downside would be that if it is really really hot outside, the bedrooms could be a little warm. They have fans in each room but some didn't quite do the trick. Overall it was a really nice place.

Everything You Need
We were a large group of 21 with 16 staying at the house and 5 staying nearby. We were together for lunch and supper and there was so much room and dishes for us all. This is seriously the best stocked home. Whatever you need (Ninja blender, waffle maker, griddle, hand mixer) they had.
This was the first vacation where everyone unplugged by choice. Our kids (4yrs - 22yrs) didn't ask about watching TV or playing video games. There's just so much to do on the property or nearby. We did a lot of exploring and it was always something new due to the property size and proximity to federal land.
It was beyond beautiful and so peaceful. The quality, design, and care of the home made it hard to leave. It was an amazing vacation!

Nice Home for a Large family
We traveled with a family of 17 people. The home was secluded from others, nature was beautiful. The home had plenty of sleeping areas for all, nice spacious bathrooms, plenty of hot water, pots and pans, dishes, silverware and a grill. Lovely place to stay with a large family. Lots to do, see and discover on the property.

Family Vacation
Location was beautiful and remote. We hiked the property and did ATV rentals right down the road at the MLazyC Ranch. Also did guided fly fishing with Tumbling Trout just 4 miles from the house. The house itself is great. It has been updated and is very comfortable. We had plenty of room for our extended family of 13 ages 5 to 70!
