AAlice Y. LUIt is the best place we have stayed in our Taiwan trip.My husband and I have enjoyed so much the time while we stay there. It is clean, and well decorated to make it as cozy and warm as possible.we were so relaxed and happy there.
Besides,we were really treated as honorable guests.Miss Wen and her brother are so kind and thoughtful, their breakfast & service is excellent. I strongly recommend it to all
FFamily WuThe Indigo hotel is located in the Ryu Tou area of Gongtian Village, Wanglishan, halfway up the mountain road to Alishan National Scenic Area. The hotel's design is very stylish, incorporating elements of Alishan (raw wood, cherry blossoms, green grass) and the Tsou indigenous culture (Formosan blue magpies, wild boars). The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, from the lobby reception to the front desk and restaurant staff. A special shout-out to the young man with glasses by the coffee machine during breakfast on February 15th โ his attitude was enthusiastic, polite, and his service was impeccable. Overall, while the design, location, and scenery are all impressive, the service truly left the deepest impression!
GGuest UserReally, really enjoyed my stay. The host is extremely kind and helpful. They brought to some local trails and offered to take me to the bus station whenever I needed. The tea is delicious and I really enjoyed my stay and the surrounding area. One of the most beautiful places Iโve seen in Taiwan.
GGuest UserClean and fully self-check in. Although the location is relatively remote, it is very cost-effective at the price, suitable for families who pass by and need to stay for one night.
GGuest UserOur group of five booked two rooms because it's opposite the National Palace Museum South Branch, just a few minutes' walk away! The rooms were small, but clean and tidy. I'm a little puzzled by the fact that the location is on the outskirts of Chiayi, practically sparsely populated; I wonder why the rooms are so small. Breakfast was served in a huge banquet hall, with both hot and cold food options, and the ability to cook your own noodles was a highlight! Personally, I thought the breakfast was nutritious and offered a good selection, which was nice! However, I think I won't book this place again next time.
DDaniel FindlingExcellent hotel, large rooms above expectations, the room was clean(not perfect) and well-equipped, underwent basic cleaning, received water and clean towels every day. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful in everything (including ordering food and recommendations for attractions). Located a few minutes walk from 7 eleven. There is a washing machine in 3 floor and a free parking
VVincentThe hotel is located about an hour's drive up the mountain. On clear days, it's incredibly convenient to watch the sunrise directly from your room. While it may not be the iconic sunrise near Yushan Main Peak (often referred to as the Alishan sunrise), the viewing experience here is still wonderful. The other hotel facilities were standard.
GGuest UserAfter reading other reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. The pros are its excellent location, just a 5-7 minute walk to Alishan Railway Station. There's parking right in front, which is great for those driving. The breakfast restaurant they partner with is also really good! ๐๐๐ The downside is the poor soundproofing; you occasionally hear footsteps or people talking. However, since I was so tired, I fell asleep quickly, so it didn't bother me much. ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
GGuest UserThe hotel's hygiene was pretty good; I didn't notice any dirty spots, and the duvet in the room was comfortable and warm. However, the soundproofing in the room was really bad. I could hear everything from the toilet flushing next door to people showering and even sneezing ๐. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. It's situated lower down among a cluster of hotels and is the furthest from Alishan Station. Getting there involves walking down stairs or a slope, which means every time you go from the hotel to the station or out for a meal, you have to walk uphill, which is quite tiring ๐. Also, there's no elevator, and even though it's only three stories high, those with large luggage should be aware.
SStrongzhongThe hotel is in a tourist community next to the visitor center, just a few minutes down the steps. It's also close to the amusement park shuttle bus terminal, the shopping street, and the small train station โ the location is absolutely fantastic. The room was a bit small, and the bathroom had a Japanese-style tub. The decor and facilities felt quite old-fashioned. What was unacceptable was that the WiFi on the fifth floor didn't work at all. I could only pick up a signal from the second or third floor, but even then, I couldn't get online. I informed the front desk, but the person who came couldn't fix it either.
