Yew Leong CheeExceptional value for money and a truly memorable stay!
We were warmly welcomed right from the start with a complimentary pickup service upon arriving in Taishan. The kids were especially delighted with the thoughtful Zongzi Festival-themed welcome gifts and the free eSIM card provided for the stayâ such a nice touch!
The room was spotlessly clean, modern, and very comfortable. The hotelâs central location is perfect, with plenty of dining and attractions just steps away.
A lovely surprise was the late-night âStarry Night Banquetâ buffet, where the friendly staff kindly cooked for us. The breakfast spread was equally impressive â excellent quality and variety for the price point.
Special mention goes to Ronan Yan at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful and resourceful. He went out of his way to give us local recommendations, directions, and tips that made exploring Taishan so much easier.
Overall, it was a perfect 24 hours. Highly recommended â weâd happily return!

Anonymous UserThe hotel is 8km from the high-speed train station, so transportation is decent. The king room was a good size and had a window, plus a separate shower and toilet. I really appreciated the four different pillows of varying firmness and height. A simple breakfast is provided, and the eel rice at the restaurant downstairs on the corner was delicious.

Anonymous UserThe hotel was very clean and quiet, but unfortunately, the smell of smoke was extremely strong, persisting for two consecutive days. I requested a non-smoking room. My room only had a little fresh air after all the other guests on my floor had left. There must be a problem with the hotel's ventilation system. Most of the staff were friendly and polite. However, when doing laundry, I wanted to finish drying my clothes within three hours. Later, I had an urgent matter and wanted to interrupt the cycle, so I had to force the washing machine to stop. The receptionist on duty didn't know how to do it and brought over a middle-aged woman, I don't know if she was a manager or something. Her first words were only about how easily her washing machine broke down; she didn't ask a single question about the guests' experience, and her entire conversation consisted of complaints. The first time I did laundry, the receptionist said I could stop the cycle midway. Washing and drying are free, but the clothes weren't completely dry, only half-dry.

Guest UserThe hotel staff were very friendly and even offered a free shuttle service to the high-speed rail station. They also provide complimentary late-night snacks (we didn't try them so I'm not sure about the variety). There are three washing machines and two dryers on the 4th floor. It's only a 10-minute walk to Changdachang, so the location is very convenient. The room facilities are also well-maintained. These are the things we really liked.
What we found a bit lacking was that the frosted glass between the shower and toilet was quite transparent, allowing you to clearly see the other person. This would be inconvenient for people who are not in a close relationship sharing a room. The hotel corridors have no air conditioning at all, so it felt very hot as soon as you stepped out of the room. The swimming pool seems to be rented out to external swimming classes, so it was very crowded. Also, to get to the swimming pool and gym from the hotel, you have to pass through the lobby of the Wenhua Pavilion Hotel, and there were often people smoking in the public areas along the way.

Everything about your hotel was excellent, but my check-out experience yesterday left me utterly displeased! I had explicitly arranged for a late check-out until 3:00 PM as one of my entitled benefits. Yet, around 1 PM, a front desk attendant called to inquire if I wished to extend my stay. I informed her that I wouldn't be extending and would be checking out. I proceeded to check out at 2:03 PM and departed. What truly shocked me was that while I was waiting for the elevator, I distinctly overheard your front desk attendant, seemingly unaware I was still within earshot, mocking me in a local dialect with a colleague. Her exact words were, 'Looks like she's got boiling water under her feet, doesn't she?' This incident makes me seriously question whether your staff management truly instills professional etiquette. Do your employees show basic respect to ordinary guests? Is there a fundamental lack of moral education? If the answer to all these questions is negative, then perhaps it's time for a serious re-evaluation of your staff's positions and a thorough adjustment of their roles.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. The decor is modern and minimalist, simple yet cozy and stylish. Our room had huge floor-to-ceiling windows with an amazing view â I loved relaxing on the sofa and scrolling on my phone. So, so relaxing! The front desk attendant was incredibly thoughtful and even upgraded our room, plus she told us about the outdoor pool on the second floor. đđ»đđ» It's the little details that show quality. Highly recommend⊠we'll definitely be back!

The service was really poor. I specifically asked for a room not at the end or beginning of the hall, and they still made me argue for it, telling me to put it in the remarks next time. The pillows were too high, giving me a neck ache. The location is a bit out of the way. The room itself was okay, and everything else was fine. Parking was a hassle; I had to register at the front desk every time I wanted to go out, which was incredibly inconvenient just to grab a meal.

TiChattonThe location was very convenient, right off the highway and by a big shopping mall with a cinema and restaurants. There's also an EE bus to and from Hong Kong for added convenience that departs from this mall. The room is clean, the bathtub is for photo only - non-functional. Despite the construction noise sign, I got a room on floor 6 and barely heard the construction. I enjoyed my stay here, the room was cleaned everyday and amenities topped up. Washing detergent is provided and the washing machine is great! Could provide clothing clips in addition to the hangers to dry smaller garments like socks and underwear. Very nice and large projector TV screen.
5/5 - no complaints.

Although I have been to Shangchuan Island several times, the Guanrilou Hotel I stayed at this time was really the best experience. The hotel is located right in the middle of the beach. It is less than ten meters away from the beachđđ. The boss is very enthusiastic and picked us up at the pier for free. The boss also sent us there for free on the last boat on the return trip. Thumbs upđ! The food and barbecue in the hotel are good value for money. I recommend friends who come here to stay here. You will not be disappointedđ
