Zhangye Hotels with Parking

On my way from Lanzhou to Zhangye by high-speed train, I quickly scanned my itinerary and spontaneously chose Runhu Holiday Hotel! It was truly a fantastic hotel! The shuttle driver was incredibly gentle and soft-spoken, never rushing. He helped me with my luggage, always placing it where there were no steps, making it easy to pull. The front desk staff was also great, informing me about the basic evening services and telling me to just call if I needed anything. I have to praise the room – it was spacious and bright, with lighting exactly to my liking, and the layout was excellent. A nice little detail: after I washed some clothes, they immediately provided a small packet of laundry detergent the next day! When I called for a latex pillow, it was delivered promptly the next day – very responsive! Plus, there were daily snacks and fruits, and the beverages were free! They even had a humidifier! I didn't get to use the foot bath, though. I'll definitely choose Runhu again when I come back to Zhangye! It's really excellent! 👍

Our stay at Colorful Danxia Flower House Hotel was truly exceptional—easily a 5-star experience. From the moment we arrived, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even personally helping us carry our luggage upstairs. His hospitality didn’t stop there—he kindly assisted us in booking tickets for a local show and even drove us there himself, which made our trip so much more convenient and enjoyable. The room was spotless, one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain high standards. We also really appreciated the free laundry service, which was incredibly helpful during our travels. The location is perfect—just a short walking distance to the west entrance of the Danxia park, making it easy to explore. Right across the hotel is a fantastic restaurant, so finding great food was effortless. To top it all off, the owner even prepared thoughtful departing gifts for us, which was such a warm and memorable touch. His kindness and attentiveness truly set this place apart. If you’re visiting the area, this hotel is an outstanding choice.

A Princess Treatment Stay in Zhangye From the moment the hotel staff picked me up at the train station, I have received nothing but princess treatment. Whether this is standard or something special because I'm a solo female traveler in an area that doesn't see many foreigners outside of tour groups, I genuinely don't know. What I do know is that I felt looked after from start to finish. The arrival set the tone. A friendly staff member was waiting right at the train station exit, and the ride to the hotel was barely five minutes. I ended up on the top floor with a mostly unobstructed mountain view, and on a clear day you can apparently catch sunrise and sunset from up there. My room is enormous for one person. Two full bathrooms, a separate living room, separate bedroom with an additional couch. The little touches genuinely surprised me: a real sewing kit (not the sad three-thread version), a loofah, nice lotion, a plastic liner for the tub, cute slippers I may have to ”accidentally” pack, shower shoes, multiple teas, and a pod coffee maker. Speaking of the tub liner, it came paired with a sachet of ”red wine bath liquid” in this blood-red color, and combined with the plastic sheeting the whole setup gave me serious Dexter vibes. IYKYK. Slightly disturbing, completely awesome. Free laundry down the hall on my floor with washers, dryers, and soap provided. The breakfast spread is plentiful and genuinely good, tons of dishes, real variety. The one issue during my stay was the climate control. My room hit 28°C and I called down for help. They sent an army of staff. When they realized moving me wouldn't solve anything because the issue affected another room too, they rebooted the system instead of just shuffling me around. By the time I finished dinner and used my included dining credit, my room was cool and comfortable. That's not just good service, that's good problem-solving. They adapted, communicated, and fixed it properly. The staff deserves their own paragraph. Reception and the kitchen team were complete standouts. Everyone was gracious and warm, and the ones who spoke English did so beautifully even though they kept apologizing for it (they really shouldn't have, they were great). There was a moment at check-in when two excited staff members brought me up to my room and we all forgot the room key in the lobby. One of them ran back down to get it while we laughed about it together. That kind of warmth you can't fake. And it isn't just the front of house, there doesn't seem to be a moment when somebody isn't cleaning something, whether it's the windows, the chairs in the outdoor seating area, the bikes available for guests, or the koi pond. This hotel is genuinely well taken care of by its staff and ownership, and it shows. I didn't get to do everything I wanted to in Zhangye, which means I'll be back. And when I do come back, I'll be staying right here. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place.

The surrounding environment is great, with a large garden in front of the hotel and a beautiful back garden behind, which is very pleasing to the eye. The hotel has a parking lot, making parking easy and coming and going convenient. The hotel facilities are comprehensive; the rooms are large with floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious and bright, with a well-thought-out layout. The wet and dry areas are separate, the bedding is comfortable, clean, and tidy, and the rooms are quiet. Breakfast is abundant, with a wide variety of dishes including fish and shrimp. The staff are enthusiastic and efficient. Overall, it was a very good stay, highly recommended.

After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye.

I randomly searched for a hotel on the map and unexpectedly found such a great one! The owners are very kind and enthusiastically introduced us to the scenic spots. When the weather is good, they even organize free birdwatching and stargazing activities. I highly recommend the scenic view rooms, absolutely worth it, directly facing the snowy mountains! Breathtaking views! The owner's wife specifically explained that very occasionally, if she's in a bad mood, her service might not be perfect, leading some to say the attitude here is bad. But I personally witnessed that both owners have excellent attitudes! Parking is very convenient right at the entrance. The key is that the scenery is absolutely worth it! Highly recommended! Also, I highly recommend the horseback riding! Staying here, you can wake up in the morning and go horseback riding, listening to the clatter of hooves as you ride through the jungle – this will be a beautiful memory for my whole life! Additionally, I saw a huge owl at the entrance! If the owner's wife sees this, I'd love to hear the owl's story!

The hotel's location and room type were great, but there was a strong smell. We switched to another room that smelled less, but it was still noticeable. The showerhead was spraying water everywhere and really needs to be replaced. After two nights, I noticed the cleaning wasn't very thorough; it felt like they just made the bed and replaced the towels and water. There was still hair in the bathroom drain. My friend's unfinished skincare products were thrown away. When we switched rooms, the key card was only set for one day, which was incredibly careless.

Holiday Inn Express has been my default hotel whenever I travel in the US Or in china. I was impressed by the Holiday Inn Express at Zhangye for their excellent customer services, delicious breakfast, and room facilities. Their room rate was also surprisely friendly. This low rate may not last once the hotel completes its renovation.

The hotel has an elegant environment. As soon as you enter the lobby, you will feel at home. The front desk is very enthusiastic, the rooms are well-structured, the beds are very soft, and the parking lot is also relatively convenient. I recommend everyone to stay at Renhe Hotel!
