GGuest UserA great, friendly welcome at reception when I arrived.
Ground floor rooms only, so no stairs to worry about. The room was clean and very quiet with comfortable beds and a lovely shower room, plus a TV.
The food was plentiful and cooked very well. It was nice and hot when it arrived, and in no way expensive.
A great stay, thank you.
GGuest UserStayed here many times with work. Excellent location, super friendly staff and amazingly clean. Great value for money. Restaurant inside and bar which is a little expensive for what it is but there is a pub and carvery across the road (2mins walk).
Parking is free and there is always loads of it. The hotel itself is on a bit of a retail park which can get busy at times but I’ve never struggled to park and I’ve stayed here at least 40 nights since April.
I don’t write reviews to be fair. But credit where it is due.
GGuest UserThis was the second time we have stayed for 1 night whilst visiting Beamish. The first time we were in one of the bungalows but this time we were in the main restaurant building. Due to the age of the building, it was very very noisy. The windows are single glazed and when trucks drove by the bed vibrated! You could hear people in the room above and next to us. People walking by in the corridor talking at a normal volume was like they were in the room with us. Food in the restaurant was average. The evening meal was overcooked and dry. Breakfast was nice enough and plentiful. The temperature in the room was good. The shower was also good. Bed was comfy enough. Staff were nice and friendly. Nothing to write home about though. It was cheap enough for what we wanted. We won’t however stay here the next time we go to Beamish in case we are put in the noisy main building again.
