We had a wonderful stay at Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel and truly enjoyed the warm hospitality and excellent service provided by the team. The housekeeping staff were especially kind and thoughtful. On our second day, our housekeeper kindly brought us additional hanger for our wet clothes. On the third day, he surprised us with a special tea, which was such a thoughtful and personal gesture. These small acts of kindness made our stay feel even more special and memorable. The breakfast experience was also excellent. The waiters and managers were very attentive and welcoming. They did not simply stay in one place but walked around the dining area, checking on guests and taking the time to interact and talk with them. This made us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. Thank you to the entire team at Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel for making our stay such a pleasant and memorable one. We truly appreciated the warmth, kindness and attentive service, and we would be happy to stay here again on our next visit to Yogyakarta!

I had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel is conveniently located in an area with many universities, and there are plenty of affordable local food options nearby.The hotel staff were very friendly and also accommodated the requests I had made before my stay, which I really appreciated.The room was generally very quiet, and I could hardly hear any noise from outside the hotel. Occasionally, however, noise from other guests in the hallway could be heard. The hot water was stable, and the bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a wide variety of choices, and the food was delicious. 這次的住宿體驗非常好。飯店交通方便，位於許多大學聚集的地區，附近有很多價格便宜又好吃的在地小吃。飯店人員都非常親切，也有確實滿足我在入住前提出的住宿需求，讓人很感謝。房間整體相當安靜，幾乎聽不到飯店外面的聲音。不過偶爾還是會聽到走廊上其他房客的吵雜聲。熱水穩定，床也很大、很舒服。早餐是自助式，選擇很多，食物也很好吃。 とても快適に滞在することができました。交通の便がよく、大学が多く集まるエリアにあり、周辺には安くておいしいローカルフードのお店もたくさんあります。ホテルのスタッフの方々はとても親切で、宿泊前にお願いしていた希望にもきちんと対応していただき、とてもありがたかったです。部屋は全体的に静かで、ホテルの外からの音はほとんど聞こえませんでした。ただ、廊下で他の宿泊客が話している声などが、時々聞こえることはありました。お湯も安定して出て、ベッドも大きく、とても快適でした。朝食はビュッフェ形式で種類も豊富で、料理もとてもおいしかったです。

Facilities: The facilities are well-equipped and decent. Hygiene: Overall, it's quite clean and tidy, but the bedding and towels could be better, and there's room for improvement in the dining hygiene. Environment: The exterior is a new area with many high-rise buildings, and there's some ongoing construction. The interior lobby is grand and quite good. Service: Excellent. Overall, the hotel is about an hour's taxi ride from the airport and over half an hour to downtown attractions (with heavy traffic). It's not close to Prambanan or Borobudur, but the hotel offers triple rooms with three beds, and the price is reasonable. The restaurant's food is also good. I stayed for one night, and the value for money is decent.

The accommodation is located a little further in from the main road, so it can be slightly hidden and may not be immediately noticeable. However, the location is still quite accessible and convenient, especially since it is close to the Maguwoharjo area, making it easy to find plenty of food and dining options nearby. The room was clean, comfortable, and the amenities provided were fairly complete. Overall, the room was well-maintained and comfortable enough for a short stay. The area was also relatively quiet since the accommodation is not directly located on the main road. There are a few things that could be improved, though. The AC was not very cold, especially during the warmer parts of the day, so the room could feel a little warm at times. The Wi-Fi connection was also not very strong and could be unstable occasionally, which might be inconvenient if you need a reliable internet connection. Overall, it was a decent and comfortable stay with a convenient location, especially for those who want easy access to food and other places around Maguwoharjo. With some improvements to the AC and Wi-Fi, the overall experience could be even better.

Staying at ARTOTEL Yogyakarta was a refreshing and enjoyable experience. True to its name, the hotel blends modern hospitality with strong artistic elements, making it stand out from conventional hotels. From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re greeted by bold art pieces and creative design touches that give the place a youthful, contemporary vibe. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with just the right balance between functionality and style. While not overly large, the space is well laid out and feels cozy rather than cramped. The bed was comfortable, and overall cleanliness was well maintained throughout the stay. Location-wise, ARTOTEL is convenient for exploring Yogyakarta, with easy access to cafes, local eateries, and key attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the pleasant experience. Overall, ARTOTEL Yogyakarta is a great choice if you enjoy boutique-style hotels with character and personality. It’s not just a place to sleep, but a creative space that reflects the vibrant cultural spirit of the city.

The beds were quite comfortable for sleeping. We ordered twin beds, and the mattresses were large. The room itself was spacious, but the interior felt a bit dated and needs renovation. I was a bit disappointed with the interior, it didn't match what I saw on TikTok. Breakfast on day 1 was okay; the food was decent, though there wasn't much variety. Breakfast on day 2 was chaotic because it was extremely crowded. All the food took a long time to be restocked; even something as simple as cereal wasn't refilled, and the coffee machine broke down at one point. It seemed like there wasn't enough staff.

My stay at Loman Park Hotel was adequate, but the property appears to be showing its age and would benefit from significant maintenance and refurbishment. While the staff were generally pleasant and the location was convenient, many of the facilities and amenities felt run down and poorly maintained. The overall condition of the hotel gave the impression that routine upkeep has not been a priority for some time. In particular, the room furnishings showed noticeable wear and tear. The towels provided were frayed and worn out, and several cushions in the room and common areas appeared aged, flattened, and overdue for replacement. These details detracted from the comfort and quality one would expect from a hotel of this standard. A more concerning issue was the hygiene of the bottled drinking water containers provided in the room. Upon inspection, black mould-like growth was visible on the silicone stoppers of the glass bottles. This raised serious concerns about cleaning procedures and attention to sanitation standards. Given that these containers are intended for drinking water, this was particularly disappointing and undermined confidence in the hotel's overall hygiene practices. Overall, Loman Park Hotel offers a functional stay, but the deteriorating condition of the facilities, lack of maintenance, and hygiene concerns mean that there is considerable room for improvement. With greater attention to refurbishment, cleanliness, and replacement of worn amenities, the guest experience could be significantly enhanced.

You can see the volcano from here. It used to be called Sheraton, and you can still find it on maps under that name. It's a very large property, even with a kids' amusement park that has a small train. Perhaps the renovation costs were too massive, so it seems to be operating on a shoestring budget now. Nevertheless, the service is still very good.

A hotel with an old building located in Kaliurang, if your goal is the Lava Merapi Tour then this is a highly recommended hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious although there needs to be an improvement in the quality of some items in the bathroom. Overall this is a very good hotel for its price range. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
