Outstanding
GGuest UserOur recent stay at a charming guesthouse felt like stepping into the pages of a fairytale. The entire house exuded simplicity and warmth, reminiscent of a storybook setting. The gracious host welcomed us with genuine enthusiasm, even though our grasp of Japanese was limited. Despite the language barrier, we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the sumptuous dinner. We were almost too full to continue after indulging in the feast. The homemade hamburger steak, lovingly prepared by the host, was exceptionally delicious. If you’re seeking a heartwarming experience in Aso, I highly recommend giving this guesthouse a try.
GGuest UserOne of the best hotels I have stayed in in Japan! When we drove to the door, someone was already there to help us carry our luggage to the room! The room is also very large and very clean, and the private hot spring is really nice! The only thing you need to pay attention to is that the place is relatively remote, which will be more troublesome if you are not traveling by car~
CCu-aprilI went to Kyushu N times and stayed in a hot spring hotel of different sizes. This price is really high, the service is warm, the hot spring is comfortable, and the dining is delicious. You can also warm and drink tea in front of the charcoal stove at night. It is very atmospheric in winter. Not far from Kurokawa Hot Springs, we also drove out to see the beautiful lights.
My friend came to Japan for the first time, because of this hotel, he has a good view of Japan 👍🏻 forced
CChuck ChuangI love the interior of this resort. The staff members are really friendly and helpful. I had little knowledge in selecting local onsen resort, so my initial expectation was not high. Much to my surprise, I love everything this hotel has had. Facility wise everything looks brand new. The room is spacious and comfy. The public bath and indoor onsen are big and clean.
As for the meals, the presentations were good and they were delicious. I have no complaint about it. Keep up with the good work. Look forward to staying there again.
GGuest UserTravelled as a family, they made special arrangements for us to have earlier breakfast at 7.30am as we had to depart the hotel to Takachiho Gorge by 8am. Yukata was of the wrong size for my mum and we had a hard time getting the staff's attention to change the size. Food is average for ryokan omakase, my daughter had a change to feed the duck. We enjoyed the onsen.
GGuest UserAlthough the building is old, the whole is very clean and tidy, the functions are also maintained very well, the breakfast is rich, there are small surprises, and the staff's intentions are felt everywhere. The night stargazing itinerary is divided into three parts. There are star interpretations, like in the 3D cinema, it is very three-dimensional and relaxing, there is an astronomical telescope to actually watch the stars, and there is an experience of lying on the prairie to enjoy the moon and the stars. The overall feeling is very rich and very touched. It is worth staying here for one night, and be sure to come when the weather is good.
郭郭董190Located in South Asu, there are hot springs to soak in. When the weather is good, you can overlook the entire Asu volcano. It is quite beautiful. The room is quite good. The western-style room upstairs is much smaller! A good place with pleasant scenery! There is also a Taiwanese employee who can speak fluent Chinese and is very enthusiastic about introducing local attractions and food!
GGuest UserThis small family-run guesthouse is nestled in the Minami-Aso mountains. The rooms are in individual villas, with an open-air hot spring bath in a separate building (though the water isn't very hot). Each room has a toilet and is in a spacious Japanese-Western style. A night's stay with two meals for under 3000 yen is considered inexpensive; dinner might not be enough for those with a large appetite.
GGuest UserThis is a great place to stay if you want to be in a peaceful and quiet location. It is in the village with not much disturbances. The owner is very helpful and try to answer your questions about bus and train services in the area. You can find some local restaurants nearby using your Google map. The restaurants are close around 3 to 4 pm most days. The closing hours for the restaurants are not accurate. This is a small town; if they don’t have costumers after a certain hours in the evening, they will be closed. Be mindful about that and come prepared with snacks and food!
GGuest UserThe room was spacious. It was my first time staying in a dome-shaped room, and it was very comfortable.
The buffet had a lot to choose from, so I was able to eat healthy food.
There were a lot of people, so we had to wait a little, but it wasn't a problem.
The surrounding facilities were also well-equipped, so we were able to use the various relaxation spaces. I'd like to go again.
