Staying at Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street was a highlight of our trip to Nagasaki. The hotel is beautifully designed with a distinct British colonial character that fits perfectly into the historic Glover Garden neighbourhood — stepping outside, you’re just moments from Oura Cathedral and some of Nagasaki’s most iconic sights.
The rooms are immaculate, stylishly appointed, and the bathrobes were a lovely touch after a day of sightseeing.
Breakfast at Restaurant Cathedréclat — set inside what feels like a converted chapel — was a real experience in itself, with a tasty Japanese option that was genuinely delicious.
The staff deserve a special mention: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Service was flawless from check-in to check-out.
The only minor thing I’d flag — and it really is minor — is that the pillows are on the thin and soft side, which might not suit everyone who prefers a bit more support. A firmer pillow option would make this hotel absolutely perfect.

Feixiangdezhu2022The room was a bit small, similar to a Toyoko Inn. The rooftop hot spring was quite good, but the best part was the wide variety of ice cream. The noodles at night were also delicious and you could eat as many bowls as you wanted. Five-star rating!

Guest UserThe room is clean and spacious and the staff is nice. The location is super convenient that closed to the China Street for dinning and we can go shopping at the street near the hotel.

A very comfortable hotel located just about 400 metres from Nagasaki Station, with a tram stop, bus stop, and a convenience store right at the doorstep. Getting around is incredibly easy, as it sits right in the heart of everything. Glover Garden, the Atomic Bomb Museum, Peace Park, and Chinatown are all just a few tram stops away. You can even walk to Mt. Inasayama in around 10 minutes, which makes visiting for the famous night view especially convenient.
The room was clean and cozy. The public bath was spacious, with multiple tubs to choose from. There are also laundry and dryer machines available (three of each), though you may need to time your usage a bit.
The breakfast was excellent, especially for those who enjoy Japanese-style options. It included a rotating selection of Nagasaki specialties such as champon, Goto udon, and sara udon. There were also breads, salads, and made-to-order egg dishes. However, it might feel a bit pricey if you do not prefer Japanese-style breakfasts, as they make up around 60% of the selection.

Guest UserThe most comfortable hotel of our Japan trip so far. The beddings are so comfortable we had the best sleep here.
The rooms are well thought out and designed. Lots of surface to put things, lots of hanging area for towels and clothes, something most hotel overlook.
Will definitely recommend.

The location is a bit off the beaten path, making it ideal for self-driving tourists. Due to its proximity to nature, you might occasionally encounter a few insects in the rooms, but the hotel is generally clean and well-maintained. It boasts a wide array of recreational facilities, along with services such as restaurants, hot springs, and massages. The pricing is reasonable, offering good value for money, so you can easily spend a full and enjoyable vacation without leaving the hotel. I highly recommend it for families looking for a relaxing getaway!

It's located on a pretty steep hill, and there isn't much commercial activity around. You'll need to take a bus to get into the city center. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, conveniently named after the hotel itself. Make sure you get off at that stop; getting off even one or two stops earlier will mean a steep climb.
It's not far from the summit of Mount Inasa, and there's a direct bus. If you miss the bus after enjoying the night view, a taxi back to the hotel is only about a 5-minute ride and reasonably priced.
The hotel's own free rooftop observation deck is absolutely amazing, and enjoying a drink and the night view in the lounge is also very pleasant.
There's a shuttle bus service from the hotel to Nagasaki Station.
There's also a hot spring (onsen).

Olga TarI really didn't expect anything from staying at this hotel, as it was twice as cheap as anything in the area. But it's really a hidden gem!
The location is perfect for exploring Nagasaki, in the heart of Chinatown, lots of eateries in the area, and a tram stop nearby. The entrance is between two buildings and not obvious at first glance, but Google maps will get you there.
The hotel has a retro vibe and doesn't look like a traditional business hotel, but does it need to? Big comfy beds, huge rooms (a lot more spacious than you expect to find in Japan), all the amenities you need inside. The description didn't mention a fridge, but we had one in our room. No view, but it didn't bother us.
Good breakfast for a reasonable price.
The only downside is that they don't have a coin laundry in the hotel, but there are some in the area.
In my opinion, it's more than value for money!

This hotel is cost-effective and the location is okay. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the station. It is uphill to walk to the hotel. It is a bit tiring to push the big box. It is hygienic. Although it is a small hotel, it is very hygienic. The breakfast is okay and you can eat enough. , the waiter is very serious and the service is good. Worth recommending
