Amazing
AAndyB.I thoroughly enjoyed my new year's eve stay at ace hotel and suites. Big thanks to the hotel manager for accomodating my requests. Exemplary customer service. The buffet meals were incredibly delicious as well. Thank you so much!
GGuest UserEnjoyed our stay in this cosy flat. Check in was a bit of a process and it was definitely a small apartment but good enough for a short stay. The bathroom and living room both stylish and the bed was the most comfy ever ! I want to get the brand of the linen ! Apartment building isn't in the most convenient location but 7/11 is walking distance. To eat our you would need to go to SM Megamall about 15 minutes by taxi.
Nice swimming pool but had to pay 200 pesos each. Otherwise a nice and relaxing stay. OK, for a short stay.
GGuest UserI love staying at Astoria Plaza mainly because of the wonderful customer service experience. The staff from the front desk to the housekeeping team are so friendly and accommodating. The awesome staff in the restaurant are so attentive. Big thank you goes to Ador and Jinky for their kind attention especially when I had laryngitis, made me some “salabat” (ginger tea) with lemon & honey.
Con: The only reason I’ll consider not staying at Astoria again is the high bathtub/shower in the one bedroom suite. I am a senior citizen with some mobility issues. Going in and out of the high bathtub is quite challenging now. It’s a fall risk area, no hand bars for support so I had to crawl out of it.
GGuest UserI paid a deposit using my Mastercard at the front desk, but it still hasn't been refunded. When I checked out, they said it would take one to two weeks to process. It's already been a month! Anyway, I'll be back in Manila, Philippines soon.
GGuest UserDeliberate attempt by the hotel to mislead guests by using the same photos of different room types for all their rooms. Appreciate the upgrade but left a bad taste at how it was eventually done.
Housekeeping is poor as they either leave my clothes on the phone, did not change the soiled bedsheet, or failed to top up the tea. Read many reviews about the limited breakfast which is true, so I wanted to book room without breakfast but there's no option for it. Again you can see how deliberate the hotel is in their attempt to cover up.
The positives are a comfortable bed and constant shower temperature/pressure.
AAnonymous UserAlthough rooms with garage parking are actually available upon arrival, the online booking system shows that no parking is available. Because of this, guests are required to pay an additional parking fee when they get to the property. When you compute the total cost, it ends up being almost the same as the regular rate, making the online discount essentially meaningless. This was very disappointing, especially since the listing states that free parking is included as an amenity.
AAndang MartinIt’s perfect for our group party. The living area was spacious and the ac, despite its age, was working well. However, the lighting is a bit on the dark side, so were sleepy hah
PPeter DagerPros:
The hotel has an excellent central location near malls and convenience stores.
Staff are nice, friendly, and attentive.
Bed is comfortable, aircon is cool, and showers have adequate pressure.
Cons:
For a new hotel, the furnishings, panels, and walls already show wear and tear. Some panels and tiles show signs of rushed work. Construction noises are loud and I was not given any prior notice about it.
The room door is annoyingly hard to open.
Elevators lack card detectors on both sides; layout is confusing.
Security people are nice, but they do too much frisking of my things and the entrance/exit layout is also confusing. The lobby is too small.
Amenities are lacking, only a gym is available for leisure activities.
Overall, average stay with lots of room for improvement.
