Great
GGuest UserHotel location was very convenient, staff was friendly, accommodations were clean. One disappointment was excessive addition of fees and taxes on my credit card. I booked through a third party booking sight for convenience and cost. I did anticipate the additional fee of using the hotels parking garage, however I was verry displeased with all of the other additional charges added. I knew parking was $50 a day, I did not used any other amenities through the hotel, i.e.: breakfast, television, room service, however I was charged an additional $277 for an accommodation fee, occupancy fee, destination fee, ect... I did address this numerous times with the front desk, and was assured only necessary charges would be added, the rest would drop off. Overall, the accommodations were pleasant. However, we will not be returning due to excessive additional fees
XXiaobofengqiaoThe hotel is located in the historical and cultural district of Savannah, within walking distance to River Street and major attractions, and the Savannah Visitor Center is nearby. The surrounding area is one of Savannah's most distinctive street parks. The hotel consists of two three-story buildings (or four floors? I can't remember a little bit) and a few white houses in the pictures. We live in a white house, one bedroom and one living room have a kitchen, there are pots and bowls and other kitchen utensils to cook. Free parking is available on the roadside outside the back door of the hotel restaurant.
We arrived in the morning and the hotel let us check in early. Oh, how kind and welcoming the front desk staff who helped us check in that day! Thank her. I wish her a happy life!
GGuest UserI had to ring the front desk bell four times before someone came. Waited for about eight minutes. This was at about 4pm. The room was clean enough. Unidentified drips and splatters here and there on the walls. Even though we booked for two nights we were given only one set of towels and one roll of toilet paper. I had to ask for more. The lobby bathroom was short on toilet paper, had no paper towels, and full garbage. The next day, the garbage had no been changed. Still no paper towels and now no toilet paper. Had to go to the front desk and ask if I could refill it. They let me. Seemed like only one person was working at any given time and multiple times I went to the front desk and there was a sign up that they were helping someone else. Lots of papers left out at the front desk with hotel booking information with no one around to keep it private. Overall I got a good deal and one person held it down enough to be average. I wouldn’t go back if I had to pay more to stay there.
GGuest UserWe booked the trip on Trip.com, prepaying. Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District charged us twice. We live in Florida. As soon as I realized this. I sent receipts and screenshots. I’ve been getting the run around from management for the past 4 days..Still no refund. Still no response from the different managers we’ve been told to call back to speak to..Keep calling back to see if he/ she is in.(Paul Komanecky or Lindsey Davis) We are very disappointed with the lack of customer service from management. We just want our money. The hotel was indeed paid twice…Is this normal?
GGuest UserThe hallway of the floor smelled very badly. My kids had to cover their noses. The breakfast was the worst I have experienced at an Embassy Suites. The dining room was dirty, there was barely any offerings, no yogurt, no bagels, no ice, no coffee, etc. It was a very poor breakfast. The front desk was not very friendly. I asked how to get to downtown Savannah, and they said they had no idea. My room had no blankets or pillows for the sofa bed, so I called the front desk. They made me go down at midnight to pick up the blanket and pillows. Overall, one of the poorest Embassy Suites we have stayed at.
GGuest UserThe location is very good. Although it is an old hotel, the service and quality are still good. Recommended, cost-effective in the local high!
GGuest UserI made reservations then called the hotel to Badger sure they had them.”Lady A” answered the phone, she was just as polite on the phone as she was in person, she checked us in upon our arrival.
We had a leak in the bathroom that was wetting the carpet, informed David at the front desk he immediately phoned Zach in house services and within minutes he was at our door. Zach observed what was happening and immediately moved us to another room, and provided us with complimentary parking which was a huge plus.
The hotel is close to the square and the riverfront which we enjoyed the proximity of everything. Only used our car to go to Walmart and The Outlets. Will definitely visit again, Customer service was A1.
GGuest UserI feel like there is zero value here. I paid a ridiculous amount of money and got a dirty coffee machine( the water holding compartment was full of some flakey stuff), a dirty sink, no toiletries, and a banged up and super loud a/c. The staff however were super nice! However, I will never stay here again as I paid $900 for two nights stay, and the rooms are just standard rooms. I could have stayed anywhere for that kind of money. One of the fees was a “destination” fee for $25. Yay! I arrived. Charge me money?
GGuest UserWhen I went there was St Patrick's Day holiday, the annual tourist season, the hotel was about 300 yuan more expensive than usual. The hotel is not equipped with breakfast and slippers, and you can find food nearby. It costs $67 (about 490 RMB) to take a taxi from the airport here.
