We came here for spring break and stayed a week in our 28’ TT. All sites are FHU and the sites are leveled. There are cabins nicely dispersed around the campground. There are elevation changes within the park that aren’t really obvious on the park map. So picking the right space is important, given the rolling hills within the RV park. The RV sites have plenty of room and are well maintained. Customer service is good. The park is pretty quiet at night with quiet times observed by all. The main pool has cabanas, splash pad, arcade, foozball, fire pits, pool table, ping pong and a restaurant/bar. Plenty of activities on-site. The roads are well paved for biking and scooters for the kids. WiFi is excellent throughout the park. There are activities for the kids like Easter egg hunts, tie-dye, slime making and crafts. There is a second pool and hot tubs around the park as well. The camp store does carry some items but not a lot of the basics. There is a Walmart about 2 miles away. I’d recommend Sun Outdoors Paso Robles to others and we will be returning.

We recently had reservations for a two-night stay at this property to end our three-week vacation to Yellowstone and Bryce Canyon National parks. Two thirds of the way through our trip we experienced some issues with our fifth wheel trailer that required some repairs. I called this place to cancel our reservations with a week's notice as we weren't going to be able to make it. They said that we were under their 14-day cancellation policy and that I was going to lose my $81.90 deposit. They said that it was a non-negotiable policy and there were NO exceptions, and that I couldn't even move the reservation to sometime in the future and that I was just SOL. We have stayed there several times in the past. This is a very busy campground. I can't believe that as it is high season, they would not be able to fill the site I had reserved with a week's notice. It is a nice campground but way overpriced. I have to say that it is nice that they offer a military discount. Unfortunately, their cancellation policy SUCKS. I will NEVER stay there again.

Nice place and our family really enjoys it but they are getting out of control with fees. They charge a resort fee on top of your nightly fee and then they want a lock fee to guarantee the spot you picked. You can easily spend 1k for a weekend camping trip. It’s out of control and we only go to this spot once a year because of the fees and prices. We might even stop once a year

In complete honesty, this place is the truly filled with the cesspool of America. Low lifes, and obnoxious people blasting music into the middle of the night. Not the type of people one wishes to be around if you enjoy the outdoors, peace, air, quiet, etc. Just total low lifes.

Without a doubt Sun Outdoors resorts are pure price gouging. They charge you for everything from lock fees to resort fees to taxes on top of already way too high nightly rates. Some of their resorts are nice but even people with money can't afford to stay at them.

The cottage was very comfortable and perfectly located for a long weekend of exploring and wine tasting. The deck was nice for a cozy dinner and wine on a cool evening. Management went above and beyond to make the stay very memorable. 5 Stars! I highly recommend!

What a difference a day makes. Stayed here in March and had a great time. It was clean, quiet and just relaxing. Passed along good reviews to our friends. Enjoyed it so much we booked a cabin to spend a weekend with our parents. This time it is June and the place was a complete zoo! Pools are so crowded with kids that there is no room to get in and relax. Hot tubs packed as well. Parents are hammered drunk trying to play music over the next boom box. The park is swarming with gulf carts mostly driven by young kids. Had entire families walking though our site as a short cut to the pool. Asked the bar tender if this was the normal atmosphere and the reply was yes as soon as school is out for the summer. The cabin was very disappointing for the cost. Bathroom door was broken and difficult to close and would not lock. Had two bedrooms but the kitchen/living area seated three and no table to eat at. I would not rent the cabin a second time. The RV spots are really nice and we would use again but only in the spring or fall. If your looking for drunk college party with a thousand little kids then this is the spot but if your looking to relax with a nice bottle of wine wait till the summer party is gone. PS the staff did a great job in a difficult situation.

This is a beautiful park, but once again, just like last year, the big family and neighborhood parties nearby put a damper on our stay. Last year, the noise was so loud next door, in an RV, it was unbearable. And then some of their friends rented the house across from our RV spot and the kids were playing a loud boombox. We got really concerned when the security people from Cava Robles, stopped by to visit the offenders without asking them to turn down their music. I finally called the manager. This year, we paid extra to lock into a spot that looked like we would be away from the parties. (trees on one side) Yet again, a whole block of houses was reserved and spaces at the end, playing loud music and basically "taking over" They left after the weekend and we had one quiet day, We get it, that more young people are RV;ing and enjoying these beautiful parks, and they are a "cash cow" for big companies like this, but at least ENFORCE some kind of noise control on the amplified music. This is a beautiful park, obviously the owners have spend a fortune to make it look good. Please respect your customers who are there for a quieter experience. We don't mind family parties and get togethers, but Park Owners should make sure they respect all.
