Meson de San Antonio is my second home. This is the third winter I will stay with Edain and her family for three months and by far it is the best place for me. If you are looking for fancy don’t read any further. One of the many charms of Meson is the hacienda was built in the late 1700s and retains its authenticity. The garden is filled with flowering plants and is a beautiful space to enjoy the brilliant sunshine of Patzcuaro. Clean, cozy and comfortable. Meson is located in a super safe neighborhood just two blocks from the Basilica and maybe four blocks from the plaza grande. There is a communal kitchen which is perfect for an extended stay. I park my car on the street and there has never been a problem. The photos on TripAdvisor are accurate but since Covid, Meson no longer serves breakfast and there is no parking on the premises. But the Wi-Fi is strong and available 24/7. The staff is helpful, kind, and friendly. All said what more could anyone ask for!

This 100 year old hacienda offers an oasis in the heart of Patzcuaro. Located by the Cathedral with it's bustling mercado it is an easy walk to many fine restaurants and the central plaza. The spacious rooms each have a fireplace for those chilly nights, comfortable beds laden with soft sheets and blankets, and a coffee maker to get our mornings off to a good start. The staff are particularly friendly and helpful. I have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. Since it is a very small hotel, reservations should be made early during special events.
