My first visit to the Lemon Tree Rishikesh could not have been met with more pleasure and comfort. Let me start with room 6106. Adjoined by only one other room at the “bottom” of the tall, hotel riverfront, it remained unoccupied during my 5 night stay, so I had the privilege of such privacy. My room fronted the Ganges and the mountains on the opposing side; I didn’t have to get out of bed to see both. Would you be surprised that after my half day tour I spent most of my time staring at the river, ashrams and mountains, often from my bed ? The star of my visit begins with the illustrious Sonu Kumar, Executive Housekeeping . From the alacrity of his step and personality, you would have thought he was assigned to attend to my every wish. When my room required trivial repairs, he was on it, and the maintenance or engineering department quickly surmounted the tasks. Warm, friendly, professional, humble and very smart. May I make a note to Lemon Tree senior execs, this *** you want to promote and keep! May I note any competitors- you want a superior leader and team member ?… here he is! My daily housekeepers were terrific. The restaurant ***ager and the F&B ***ager were very warm and attentive to me. I had the privilege at the end of the trip to chat with your GM, Mr. Sandeep Sharma. What a sincere, bright, kind, warm *** ! No surprise he rose up the hospitality ranks to take the lead here. One of the hallmarks of these hotel stars is they know how to listen. Such a delight to meet him and be in his presence. Food pure veg and a “dry” city. Hotel ideal for any traveller visiting this holy land. Thank you again for such warmth and kindness.
