This is our second stay at Pump Hill. Great spot. Peaceful. No wi-fi which is perfect when you want to relax and get “off-grid”.

I have been to many farmstays around Perth, but I must say that this is the best that I have been to amongst all. We had a great 4N stay there in Pumphill during the christmas week. In fact, I wanted to extend our stay by another night or two, but unfortunately couldnt as it was booked out. Kids are going to have a blast with their routine animal feeding activity every morning, the beautifully done Kids play area, the nice grassy backyard for them to play around. Unfortunately, we couldnt meet the owners during this visit, but definitely next time. We had actually left behind a couple of toys in the backyard upon the checkout. The staffs were so nice to hand them over to another family who was coming to Perth next week so that I could pick it from them. Amazing customer Service ! Special mention to Claudia. You da the best ! Overall, we were very happy with the stay and will come back in a different season; perhaps Spring, as i hear Pemberton is more beautiful in Spring. This is a must stay place for sure...

Whilst there are a lot of positives about this farm stay, unfortunately there are a few negatives which has resulted in me wanting to leave this review. Firstly, the biggest positive is the actual animals. They are amazing, well looked after and very friendly. We were lucky enough to have a Gentleman do our tractor ride on the first morning of our stay and he was brilliant. He knew lots about all the animals and helped the kids interact with them. Unfortunately, the next day we had a female who didn't seem to have the same passion. A few small things like parking the tractor in the mud so we all had to track through it to get off the trailer and not encouraging any of the animals out of their hideaways so after waiting patiently, the kids all lost interest and moved on. The other positive is the playground and trampoline space. Amazing and hours of fun. Now some negatives. We (myself, my Mother and my 3 year old son) stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage and got charged an extra $25 per night for my son to stay with us. Basically the price quoted included two people only and any other people staying were charged at $25 per night. This makes zero sense. There would be very few adults staying at the farm without kids and I would have hated to be told that each kid was an extra $25 per night after already paying $220 for the chalet. Perhaps two adults and two kids should have been included in the nightly price. Also, we were provided with a basket of wood for our fire and half a packet of fire starters. Having never lit a pot belly fire in my life, I fumbled through it. Not having any wifi or phone signal made Googling any fire starting tips impossible. Our chalet was freezing so without the fire on it would have been intolerable. Once the basket of wood was gone (barely one night) we were charged $15 per basket after that. Considering we were planning on staying for 3 nights, this is another added expense we hadn't budgeted for. Perhaps a basket of wood could be provided every day and some written instructions/tips on the fire would be handy. Another big thing was that the tv did not have any free to air signal. Apparently it is undergoing "maintenance" but after reading a few reviews from last year, it appears that this is a permanent situation. Whilst we weren't there to sit in front of the tv, I would have liked the option of watching the nightly news or cartoons in the morning. After the sun went down, we were bored and the dvds were not appropriate for my 3 year old son to watch. Plus they wanted more money for each DVD we borrowed. There were lots of broken things in the chalet too. The tiny heater that probably wouldn't have done anything anyway didn't work. The lights were downright dangerous and I was concerned that one of us would be electrocuted. Curtains fell down and my Mum had a quick shower and that drained the tiny hot water system so we then had to wait for it to refill before I could have a shower. All in all, we were planning on staying

Awesome service by Gwen. Be sure to let her know if you need heating in the room. Location is rustic and authentic back to nature farm stay. Enjoy your forest bathing and get away from city living 🙂

No sighting of office staff at anytime. Had to visit supermarket to buy fire starter as the unit supplied would not work. Heating of unit very poor - not enough timber for one night. Unable to heat bedroom so slept in the lounge. We had an excellent stay here a few years ago But now looks very run down and needing an upgrade. Booked for 3 nights but so cold that we left after first night.

Very run down cottage desperately in need of repairs, especially in the bathroom. BBQ gas bottle ran out of gas halfway through cooking. There was no evidence of cottage being cleaned and dusted before our arrival. Laundry on site was extremely dirty and untidy. Even though stated in the cottage manual there was tv reception, we found this not to be the case.

We recently stayed here and our accomodation didn’t come with anything to light the fire place, it also had a broken front door and broken blinds. The tractor ride was only offered once in the 3 days we were there, the weather was bad one day but the other day was fine. The owners didn’t even place the tractor back in the meeting spot the night before so it was obvious they just couldn’t be bothered as there were few guests. The power went out at 2.30am on our last morning and didn’t come back on. There was no contact from the owners or offering or a torch/candle so we were in the dark until 7.30am. We didn’t have any utilities due to the power outage and again the owners made no contact with us. The animals are gorgeous as is the property but it really seems like the owners just don’t have the time or energy for the guests and guest experiences.

We are about to head to pump hill farm which will be our 3rd trip in 3 years!! We love everything about pumphill farm from the staff to the animals and overall stay. Our son who has autism (10), is very hard to pull away from play station, iPad etc, doesn’t even touch them at all during our stay, he is too busy on the farm, feeding the animals playing in the playground or interacting with the amazing staff and owners, he comes in when it gets dark absolutely fifthly but a smile as wide as I’ve seen, and dirty kids mean happy kids!! It’s so awesome to see your child enjoying their selves so much!! Thank you to pumphill farm for these treasured childhood memories!,
