Juliantos by the Sea

Best location within the Island if you look for sleeping quite and stay on the coast. You can also snorkle in.front of the hotel and it's plenty of restaurants and bycicles' rent around. Breakfast is all right.

Juliantos is right on the beach. It has lovely shaded sun lounges on the beach with great snorkeling straight off the beach. We had an upstairs room with a lovely verandah overlooking the pool and beach. The room was clean with air con, ceiling fan, fridge and tea/coffee making. The breakfast was one of the nicer ones in Bali/lombok with lovely fresh juices, eggs of any type or pancakes, tea/coffee and lovely fresh homemade sour dough toast. Easy walking distance to all the restaurants either end of the island. Tony is friendly and helpful as are all of his staff. Water refill station in the restaurant area and also at the beachside bar.

Stayed only 1 night of a 5 night stay. Dangerous and disgusting - The property was in a terrible state of disrepair we were extremely upset and disappointed with the state of disrepair and hygiene of room A3 the curtains are mouldy one socket is hanging out of the wall by the bed with live we wires sticking out the fan is dangerously wobbling when switched on the and sink and toilet both leak in the bathroom and the towels are grey and stained there is one bin for the toilet paper and rubbish we are very upset by this as this is not how the rooms are mis represented on *********** it is not a deluxe room it is more like an abandoned youth hostel there are no amenities in the room. The grounds are unkempt the breakfast unpleasant and in dirty cafetière and stained crockery. The owner has not responded to my complaint and *********** gave me £10 refund. Don’t waste your time and money there are plenty of beautiful places nearby which are clean well maintained and properly managed.

“Juliantos” at Gili Air ‘s best section of beachfront , uncluttered access to beach and snorkelling , overlooking Lombok and the sunrising (if youre up in time) - a genuine Bali feel about it - with a western level of efficiency and homely customer service. Good staff and delightful hosts. Delicious food, quiet and relaxed. Easily Accessible to all parts and activities of the island without being in the actual hustle and bustle. Excellent value for extremely reasonable price.

I had a lovely solo stay at Juliantos by the Sea and felt inspired to share my experiences with others who may be thinking of booking a place on Gili Air. There are lots of options for accommodation on the island, however this place was the perfect balance of welcoming, but also so peaceful, spacious and really well priced. Also, you couldn’t ask for a better location, as it’s close enough to any amenities you may need but also far away from any loud parties or late night revelry. I was able to do my work from my room which is really well set out with a little desk and great aircon. The Wi-Fi was excellent and I felt I could be productive and creative after having my daily sunrise walk, followed by swim in the tidal pool and afternoon snorkel where I saw turtles every single day! There is actually something magical about this place, not just the island itself which has such an easy-going vibe. Maybe it’s the friendly staff or the lovely hosts who seemed to intuitively look after me as a solo female traveller. I found this place to be very down to earth, from the local food on offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner to cheap scooter and bike hire to get around the island. Although I loved my solo time here, I think this would be a lovely place to come with family or friends, due to the location, price and beautiful genuine service. Thank you so much for having me!

Very nice and quite location. Great rooms and very friendly staff. We prefer the sunrise side of the islands for it’s quietness and beautiful beaches with a sandy sea bottom. The swimming pool is very disappointing. It is salt water and very slippery. As you have the sea in front of you with salt water a nice swim in the pool with sweet water is preferable. Next to that, the salt water stands still in the pool so we assume this as not very healthy. In case the swimming pool would change to sweet water we definitely would come back as we are fan of the islands and this accomendation
