Welcome to Alpha’s Log Cabin, the perfect getaway. Relax in the quiet of the woods on the covered porch and hear the sounds of babbling creek.
Step inside and you are greeted by warmth and comfort. The Living Room has a Sleeper Sofa, Wood Stove, Smart TV with streaming services, Board Games, and Books. You will find the Kitchen fully equipped. One Bathroom with a Clawfoot Tub and Shower. Large Loft bedroom with one Queen Bed and Twin. WiFi is provided.
A window air conditioner and window fan are installed in the summer months, even though the cabin usually stays at a comfortable temperature.
The cabin also has an outdoor fire pit (wood provided) and charcoal grill for your enjoyment.
Alpha’s Log Cabin is located five miles from the Historic Town of Franklin. In the area you will find hiking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, spelunking, rock climbing and golfing
Attractions within the county include Pike Knob, Nelson Sods, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob (highest point in WV) Nelson Rocks (Nation's Premiere Via Ferrata, outdoor zip lines) Smoke Holes, Yokum’s Stables (horseback ride to top of Seneca rocks) Warners Drive Inn and Swilled Dog Cidery.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The cabin was even more than we expected—beautiful, comfortable, and equipped with so many thoughtful details that made our time here extra special.Our hosts were incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay, always making sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home.This place exceeded all our expectations, and we’re so grateful for the warm welcome and care we received. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

This was the first place we ever stayed in Franklin/Riverton, and since then we've returned to the area every year. We stayed in this cabin for a second time, our first time traveling outside of winter, and the AC was able to keep the cabin cool on hot days.There is a lot to do in the area; Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob (Where the milky way is faintly visible at night, *very* visible with long-exposure), Solly Sods, the Fire Lookout Tower on Route 33, all within an hour drive.If you're thinking about booking this cabin, you won't regret your decision. You definitely get more than your money's worth!

It was a great Cabin and very well maintained! Very close to Franklin, Seneca Rock, and Spruce Knob! All great places we visited! And Fisher Mountain Golf Course is close and it was probably the coolest course I’ve ever played at!

Getaway to west Virginia
My wife and I had an enjoyable 4 night anniversary stay at this little cabin. The drive back the lane made it feel away from the world but it was still only a couple miles from the quaint town of Franklin WV. Coffee on the front porch and sleeping to the sound of running creek water was a highlight!

Secluded & peaceful
Cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very secluded & peaceful. We woke up early just to watch the deer. Loved it, just what we needed. Thank you

Dinah is a wonderful host! Very responsive to questions before and after booking. Cabin was exactly as described. Its secluded and peaceful. Clean and beautiful inside and out. Comfortable bed and everything you could want for a relaxing enjoyable stay.

Welcoming and cozy cabin
We loved our stay at this cabin. The property is very clean and has lots of little touches that make it homely and welcoming. The sound of the creek next to the cabin immerses you in nature. It is well connected to US Route 33, but far enough so you don't hear the sound of cars. Perfect getaway to disconnect and be in nature.

Couldn't be any better!
This was a short get away just to relax. We couldn't believe how thoughtful our host was. She thought of everything, and I do mean everything! We had a wonderful stay and were very appreciative of how nice the cabin is. We loved it and will be booking again in the future! Perfect place to just go and be quiet. I'd mark it more than 5 stars if I could!
