Travelodge Perth Central

Only stayed for the one night. Hotel is out of the city, cleanliness could be a lot better! No restraunt/bar so had to walk back into town for food after I’d arrived. Staff were very welcoming and kind though!

Ok for what you pay for and handy for the centre of Perth with a short walk over the river Tay. Free parking round the back. No lifts so if you have trouble climbing stairs then this is not for you. Room was nice, roomy and clean. Have to pay extra for wi but no complaints

There are pros and cons to booking this Travelodge. I'll start with the pros. It is very central you only need to cross the road and walk over the bridge and you are in the centre of Perth. They gave us a family room with a double and a single bed and given that the double bed was too high for me to be comfortable I used the lower single bed. The bathroom was actually a wet room although it did have a curtain to screen off the shower and the inclusion of a fold down shower stool was much appreciated since I am not as steady on my feet as I used to be. There was amply tea, coffee, sugar and milk and a table in reception held a huge supply of the same and told you just to help yourself The cons. They have taken over the old Isle of Skye Hotel so there are no lifts so you will have to climb stairs. The tv reception wasn't terrific, but we didn't mind since we weren't there to watch the tv. If you want internet access it costs you £3 per day for two devices. If you need more than that connected you need to pay another £3. There were no sockets near the beds they had all been covered over. The Toby Carvery next door has closed so if you want anything to eat you have to go into central Perth. They do sell a boxed cold breakfast consisting of cornflakes, milk, orange juice, yougurt and a granola bar for around the £6 mark but we simply walked into the centre of Perth to get a cooked one. Would I go back? Probably yes. The location was excellent and the parking was off road. It was basic, but to be honest you pay for what you get. We were away for two days and it was fine, however I don't think I would want to spend longer there.

Clean room, quiet room friendly staff. Good value for money. Outside of hotel was not very welcoming but inside was clean and tidy. Busy road next to hotel but room was well insulated and no noise in bedroom.

I recently had a two night stay at the Travelodge Perth Central which is just a short walk over the Tay River from the shops etc There is no café / restaurant at this particular hotel but you are not too far from eating places. I unfortunately felt a bit uncomfortable about having to walk back to the hotel after dark on my own so ended up getting food to eat in my room which was fine for me. Obviously in the summer months I would not have a problem walking back to the hotel because of the light nights. I had a comfortable stay and would certainly consider staying there again in the summer months if the rate was right. No lifts at this particular hotel and the stairs are a bit on the steep side otherwise everything else was fine. The room was very clean and looked as though it could have been recently refurbished with new bathroom etc.

My wife and myself stayed for a couple of nights.Room was spotless, warm and very comfortable.Reception staff very friendly and Location was fine as walk across the bridge took you right into Perth.The deal we had for our two nights was money well spent.
