Wonderful at all levels, we have travelled to many corners of the world and we can say la Locanada Della Castellana is the perfect vacation boutique hotel. Congratulations to Marino and Antonio you both very meticulous at everything you do from keeping your rooms and the entire property very clean. Ragazzi Grazie per e belli ricordi.

The BEST place in Gargano peninsula The best! La Locanda Della Castellana is the absolute best stay in the Gargano peninsula. We actually cancelled our next hotel and extended our stay. The location is stunning with incredible views. It’s quiet, comfortable, well maintained and central to everywhere you need to go. The service is impeccable: attentive, friendly and professional. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

We stayed here for four nights on our driving tour of Puglia. The superior room was very clean, comfortable and had a large balcony over looking the bay. Breakfast is extra , the choice of food is excellent and well priced, best omelettes I have had. Evening meal was limited to two choices but always good value, served with great views over the bay and sunsets. The hotel is spotless, hosts very friendly, exceeded our expectations and great value too. Local Peschichi is lovely to walk around the old town, the torture exhibition is not to be missed! Our favourite beach was 25 mins drive away at San Lorenzo just before Vieste. Sun beds and umbrella. 10 euros and lovely restaurant. Fantastic location and highly recommend this hotel.

Whatever you think, when looking at the web page of this hotel, do not book it. Under no circumstances. We have arrived today and learned, that without bathing cap, no Pool. If you o Not hab such a cap, you have to pay 1,50 EUR. If you need a towel for the pool, you have to pay 5 EUR. If you want the shuttle service to Centro storico, you have to pay 10 EUR per trip,, this means 20 EUR for back and forth. Breakfast is not included, you have to pay everything. The price for a Cocktail (like the o e which be seen in the promotion of the website) is around 15 EUR. We have stayed in several 5 star hotels in Apulia and in Amalfi coast, where we could get cocktail much cheaper. Beside this, the welcome of the hotel owner (or employee), I do not know, was subterranean unfriendly. He said: “ No bathing cap, no pool” When I argued that in the nice video on the web the beautiful lady swimming in the pool, did not wear any bath cap, he said:” This is of no interest for me. No bath cap, no pool” So, consequently, after 30 minutes of thinking about all of this, my wife and I decided, to leave this hostile place immediately and I booked via Trip Advisor spontaneously a very nice hotel in Vieste! By the way, I am an International Sales Manager and I stay in many hotels all around the world. But this is the very first time, that I have experienced such a discrepancy between advertising Hotel web page and reality. Because of this, I decided toe write this comment ( my very first one by the way) to warn people and tell them to stay away from this place.

What an amazing place. Beautiful views over the sea and mountains. Newly refurbished rooms. We had a suite overlooking the sea with a massive balcony. hosts were really friendly and helpful, recommending a lovely beach nearby. We ate at the restaurant every night of our 3 day stay and had beautiful home cooked food. We were sad to leave.

Hi Marino and Antonio, we got home safe, thank you so much for dropping us at the bus station outside your normal taxi times. We loved the hotel. Beautiful view. You don't get that sort of view without a bit of a steep walk, and although we walked that road lots, we were grateful for the taxi service you provide. Its always good to have the option. The room was large, very clean, nicely decorated. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony having a nap. The breakfast was tasty and the cappuccinos were very good. It would have been nice to have a sinple drink during the day, even just a coke zero, but we understand cocktails would be a big ask during the day. Antonio did wonderful cocktails from 5pm onward and we enjoyed them with the view and the tarralli. We loved Gin the dog and Cleo the cat. Very cute and friendly. The reptiles were cool too. We bought a lovely selection of what I'm sure is excellent wine, thanks for boxing it up. Thanks for a great stay.
