Rafiki hostel is perfect for visiting Petra, as it is in walking distance to the site and has a pool for refreshment before and/or after the visit to Petra. The hostel itself has a rooftop terrace and the owner is incredibly helpful, kind, friendly and amazing!

How amazing was this place: amazing rooftop, friendly staff, awesome pool for hot days, the whole package! The rooms were very clean and the Wi-Fi worked accordingly. Definitely recommend a stay!! Chucram habibis!

Hostel Rafiki is a no brainer for your Petra stay. Location: very central near 2 Pharmacies, Shops, local restaurants...15 min walk to the entrance for Petra monuments. Cleanliness: clean and tidy. Room: comfortable bed, heating clean showers with hot water. Basically you need in a good hostel. Rooftop is amazing with a great view on the city. Ghaith the owner clearly took care of giving it an authentic touch. Super cosy. Ghaith is very helpful and he tries his best to keep his guests feel welcome. He cooked traditional Mansaf for us, taught us to dance Dabka and took us on a tour for little Petra and Co. . Always refreshing to see fellow backpacker try to be creative and offer nice expériences like him.

Staff very nice, unfortunately no hot water unless you ask for it ! 5.30am and I was told I should of looked for the guy in the kitchen to switch it on 🤦 I didn't even know he was there! Furthermore why should I run around looking!! 4 of us in the room and water like ice at bedtime and wake up, even for hand washing, water freezing. Room cold. Location quite close to visitors centre.

Great place to enjoy to the fullest Petra vibes! Clean and tidy but the best about this place is the roof top. Such a blast! The best view for the Petra sunrise, I truly loved it! The owner is friendly and helpful :) Highly recommended :)

I had such an amazing time at the rafiki hostel. I'm a solo traveler and felt very safe here. The owner and his family made me feel like a part their family. I was only going to stay 1 night but extended it to 1 week. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable and wow what can I say about the rooftop. What a great place to read a book, study or just hang out with the other travelers. The view was amazing and Petra entrance is only 1.2 km. The pool wasn't open yet but would be a great place to swim and hangout.

Foto's zijn totaal niet representatief. Algemene indruk viel tegen. Kleine kamer, amper een paar minuten warm water in de piepkleine badkamer. Zetels rond het zwembad waren meer dan versleten. Veel vuil in het zwembad. Hondenuitwerpselen op diverse plaatsen binnen in het hotel. Wel vriendelijk personeel, lekker en voldoende ontbijt. Onthaal regelde betaalbaar vervoer naar luchthaven voor ons. Ze bieden lunchpakket (meerprijs) aan voor een uitstap naar Petra.

Nous sommes restés deux nuits. Aucun isolation thermique, le mur extérieur de notre chambre était extrêmement chaud dans la journée et le soir, la chambre était donc très chaude, malgré la clim. Pas d'eau chaude, ni même tiède pour se doucher. Nous avons dîner le 1er soir. A éviter, dîner livré tardivement. Pas de verre pour tout le monde. Nous sommes allés prendre le petit déjeuner ailleurs. Accueil un peu amateur. On nous a demandé en arrivant et en partant de régler alors que nous avions déjà payé la réservation. Ambiance auberge de jeunesse mais pas hôtel
