I spent two nights at Sunbird before entering Kruger NP. Our room was nice, quite big and located in a beautiful garden full of different plants. Breakfast was yummy, offering wide choice of tea, cereals and banana bread, before a full English breakfast was served. The location is very good, close to supermarkets and to the Kruger NP gate as well. If this is not enough, the point of strength of Sunbird Lodge is Dave, the owner, that was very helpful since I enquired for booking and, once there, gave us advice about restaurants, shops and about the road to the Olifants River cruise. I'll go there again when I'll visit Kruger next and I deeply advise this accommodation.

Everything was perfect! The breakfast was very good, and the owner Dave and his wife were incredibly kind and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay. Hosts were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Bedrooms big. Clean. Great shower. Breakfast was delicious, with some extra touches that make it worthwhile.

Stayed here twice during our tour of Kruger National Park. Dave was an excellent host ensuring that we had everything we needed. The rooms were great and the garden setting was very nice. If it had been warm then we would have enjoyed the pool too. We plan to return to Kruger and won't hesitate to stay at Sunbird Lodge again.

We stayed at the Sunbird Lodge for 3 nights, and it was very peaceful and quiet. It had two twin beds, a set of bunk beds, small kitchenette, television, air conditioning, desk and chair, as well as outdoor patio. The pool was clean and extremely warm, but refreshing. The outside area was well maintained and staff was always busy keeping it that way. The common area had a bar (honor system) and rooftop patio with comfortable furniture. The breakfast area was beautifully arranged and we enjoyed the large fish tank. The breakfast was delightful, as well as delicious and made to order. There was plenty to choose from. The staff, especially the hosts deserve recognition for such warm hospitality and recommendations. Dave made Safari reservations for us and our guide was simply the best. The restaurant recommendation was wonderful so we eat there 3 times! We would not hesitate to stay there again and highly recommend. Thumbs up to Sunbird Lodge! Thank you!

Been my go-to place to stay, clean rooms, good breakfast and a lovely pool. Quiet place away from most of the town hussle. And the owner Dave....what a champ!
