Holiday Inn PHILADELPHIA ARPT-STADIUM AREA by IHG

This hotel was disappointing. The service at the front desk is terrible. The kitchen and airport transport staff were much nicer and friendlier. The door to the hotel room stuck hard and you need to shove it hard to open and close it. I asked about that and all I got was a very dry, the building is old. I needed an extra roll of toilet paper, I had to come down to get it. For a Holiday Inn they need to try so much harder. Be friendlier and care, give a crap. The location for Phillies baseball or other sports teams and the ****** is good. An easy mile walk, 20 minutes. The room looked worn and could have been cleaner. I did not eat at the restaurant or use the bar but the staff did seem friendlier than the front desk. If you are going to a sports game, it's a decent value. I also did not park a car so that would have been extra as well. Not worth it for me to return. It did serve its purpose. The bed was clean and comfortable. Refrigerator, no microwave.

Kindness waitresses, room clean

Horrible. Rude front desk. They overcharged me $300 and refused to refund it. I spent 6 hours there and lost $375. It was a trash hotel before so now they've changed to Holiday Inn and it's even worse. Indian customer service front desk, trained to rob you. Go somewhere else. They use the name Stadium to make you think it's close. It is not. It's in the middle of a dumpster across from a diner. Save your ******* money and go to Sonder in Center City. It's half the price, clean, central and the size of an apartment.

Internet not working properly

Parking is a con, this should absolutely be included in the stay. They have two elevators and during peak times or busy events, you have to wait in line for a long time before you have to squeeze yourself into the tiny elevator with others. Stairs were blocked off for some reason with no explanation from staff. The room looks nice initially, but the bed had stains on it, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly and the room smelled. You can hear EVERYTHING outside, with your “ neighbours”, and in the halls. The ceiling was leaking in the lobby. The valet is a joke. You’re better off paying the exact same $15 to park your car, because it’s not like they have a valet lot or something special; they park your car with everyone else. Next time, I will pay the extra price to stay at a more reputable hotel.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located for what we needed. I would stay there again if visiting the same place.

The location was close to the stadiums, about a mile and change walk through a neighborhood surrounded by a local park.

The sound insulation was bad, can heard the water pipe, the people in the hallway, and the outside cars. If you are a quite sleeper, don't choice here. Overall the value of the cost is okay. The parking charge is not that reasonable.
