Courtyard Philadelphia City Avenue

Traveling from New York to Washington D.C., Philadelphia was a stop along the way! The room was spacious and bright, and there's a huge parking lot outside the hotel. The service was enthusiastic! They proactively asked if I had a car and then placed the room number sign in a prominent spot on the front of my vehicle!

The environment was just okay, not clean enough, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's conveniently located with restaurants nearby.

It was okay, pretty standard. The lobby is quite large and looks nice, but the room itself was small. No microwave. The front desk staff were stylish and had service-oriented smiles. They require a $50 deposit, which is refundable. Also, there's a prominent sign at the front desk stating parking is $15 plus tax. However, my bank card shows a pending charge of over $30, and I'm not sure why it's so much. I'll deal with the hotel once the exact amount is finalized. There's a Cava, Target, CVS, and even Chinese food next to the hotel.

The room was great, I really liked the layout. Just a little disappointed that the ottoman shown in the promotional pictures wasn't in the room.

The hotel is located on Queen Street, and the surrounding area isn't great. It feels like it's behind a factory, with two large smokestacks visible from the window. The main issue is the extremely expensive parking; it's not $55 a day, but $60.44, which is even more expensive than downtown Washington D.C. Dining options nearby are inconvenient, and the area doesn't feel very safe.
