Blue Crystal Boutique Hotel

There is an Indian restaurant downstairs, and the hotel upstairs is also run by the Indian owner of the restaurant. The location is excellent, right next to the Phnom Penh Night Market, and not far from the Grand Palace and Central Market. The disadvantage is that the sanitary conditions are extremely poor, and the bed sheets are stained. I suspect they have not been changed at all. Of course, the price is very cheap, so I don’t expect anything extra, but the most basic cleanliness and tidiness should be there! There are two guest rooms on each floor. Only the rooms facing the street have private swimming pools. The rooms facing the patio do not. I searched all over the first to fifth floors and could not find the so-called public swimming pool. Moreover, although the rooms facing the patio have an inner window, , but there is basically no lighting and it is very dark. I suspect that the overflowing water from the rooftop swimming pool of the hotel next door will splash into the patio, so the sound of splashing water often disturbs sleep. Because there is a restaurant downstairs, there is a strong smell of spice curry in the guest room and on the sheets. The smell is indescribable. When I changed hotels later, the smell was still on my clothes, so I had to rewash them all. Having said all that, I really recommend you choose carefully!

Okay, just make do

Luckily we only stayed one night. We arrive in the evening and they make us wait because they have to check the room. We enter and find the entire toilet wet, they must have just finished cleaning (I arrive at 6pm). Small room with unusable amenities. Fridge impossible to turn on, the sockets were 70 cm high and the cable was perhaps half a metre. Direct climate on the bed above your head. Let's forget about general cleanliness. The hotel is accessed through a restaurant hall. A nightmare.
