Centara Karon Resort Phuket Reviews

A decent hotel that has undergone big renovation recently.. they said it took almost 2 years to do the overhaul renovation though there are still hits and misses as pristine it is not. Hits - rather new and modern looking. Pretty sumptuously buffet breakfast with smiling service staff although I wish they will brush up on their command of their English language for ease of effective communication.  Misses:  The elevator is old and not renovated. Well the guest room which I stayed in is decent with big floor to ceiling windows on both sides with mountain and a far away ocean view, the bathroom is not the most practical. Furnishing and fixtures are also of sub-par quality.  Location wise this comes down to personnel preferences. It’s tucked away inside a very busy chaotic, old street filled with shops, restaurants and bars. Whilst is rather convenient in that regard, I personally prefer to stay somewhere in a far less busy and bustling street. Especially when the neighbourhood is rather hideous looking filled with old ugly buildings and even uglier and mind boggling is the overhead wires / cables running across the buildings. What an eye sore for seekers of idyllic vacation.   I will rather choose to stay in a neighbour hood such as Kata Noi or Nai Harn Beach. Or at least on the promenade facing ocean side of the Karon away from the maddening crowds and many hideous surrounding sights. Thus, alas the location and neighbourhood of  Centara Karon for me was def the least desirable part of my entire stay this time in Phuket.

A Great Family-Friendly Stay! We had a fantastic week at this resort! It's perfect for families—our 2-year-old absolutely loved the kids' pool and kids' club. The atmosphere was welcoming, and there were plenty of activities to keep both kids and adults entertained. Highly recommend for a relaxing family getaway!

We loved the kids pool and all the kids activities. The staff made sure we stayed comfortable despite the bad smell coming from the bathroom. Overall great hotel for families

A gorgeous hotel. We booked for 3 days, the room was superior with a sea view. The building is closer to the street. 1801. 8th floor. Everything is controlled by the door - air conditioning, light, you can see the sea. The room is newly renovated, fresh, beautiful design, huge bed, crispy snow-white linen, awesome robes - both size and quality! Well, in general, everything is a 5. There are two pools, we went to the closest one. Clean, they check the water with test tubes, clean it. Very clean. About the hotel - one minus - the music blares until one in the morning so much that I could not fall asleep with earplugs. The breakfast is excellent, like everywhere in Thailand. Buffet, scrambled eggs, omelets, fruit, some hot dishes, pancakes. You will definitely not go hungry. The coffee machines did not work one day when we were there, we did not want to wait for them to start up. In general - only because of the area and the drum music - I will not come again.

I booked a deluxe room, the room was just so so, similar to Home Inn in China, the bathroom was always smelly and very small. There is a construction site nearby that is still under expansion, there are several pools, suitable for children to play in the water, the staff is very good at leading the pace, the children had a lot of fun. 1870 a night, still too expensive, maybe because of the Chinese New Year. There are more Russians, rich breakfast, very good location near Karon Beach, the hotel is right outside the night market, very lively, many people. Karon Beach is very beautiful. The whole trip was still very pleasant, the service was average, maybe because there were too many people. Karon Beach is worth a visit!

Good service, good location, good breakfast, but I booked two superior sea view rooms, but ended up with one with full mountain view, which was very disappointing. I didn't want to argue during the Chinese New Year, so Ctrip finally refunded the price difference. I hope they won't play tricks in the future!

The room is quite big and clean, with a 1.35m bed, which can accommodate two adults and two children. The front desk service is not very good. We were supposed to check in at 3:00, but we couldn't check in after reminding twice at 3:30. Other white people had checked in. Later, we called Ctrip to check in. It's not cost-effective for more than 2,000 yuan a night during the Spring Festival, but it's ok for normal stays. The hotel doesn't have its own beach, so you have to walk along the street to get to the beach, which is a bit inconvenient. But the beach is still beautiful

Overall it's OK, maybe the hotel has been renovated for a long time, the facilities are a bit old, the service is very good, and it is very convenient to Karon Beach

The hotel is far from the airport, the environment is very good, it is very convenient to go to Karon Beach, just a few minutes walk, 200🐷 to rent an umbrella and a lounge chair, it is really great, I really recommend it, I love this beach so much, there are few people, beautiful! It is also convenient to eat, there are many small shops on the roadside. It is not very convenient to take a taxi, Grab is very expensive, the hotel porter can help to call a taxi, but it is also expensive.

There is a night market right outside the door, so I don't think there is any need to go to the frog night market or anything like that. The hotel is very high-end, but I don't know why there are so few reviews. The swimming pool is also very fun with a big slide that the children like very much. The service is also good

The hotel is newly renovated. The photos on the booking website are old. You can check the official website. It is very modern and simple. There is a 711 at the entrance of the alley. It is quiet in the bustling city. It is a five-minute walk from the beach and the main street. It is very good.
