Tenuta Santo Pietro

The views were spectacular. The staff was wonderful. The manager - sadly I don’t remember her name, starts with a B - was great. She was friendly and accommodating. The food was great. They offer a tasting a menu, but we chose to order off the menu. Breakfast was a beautiful spread. The cons are that the room could have been a bit cleaner. The pillows were terrible. And, the place sits right on the road so the sound of cars and trucks was a bummer. But, overall, would highly recommend.

Your perfect stay in Tuscany! Great team (headed by Bertina) that takes care that you have an excellent stay, incredible food, cozy decor, perfect pillows and mattress. Strategically nestled between Montalcino and Montepulciano, and only 8 minutes away from Pienza by car. Looking forward to return!

We visited Tenuta Santo Pietro at the end of September 2023 and we had the most amazing time with our stay! Bertina, Teresa, Mickala, Gloria and Isabella all provided the best customer service during our stay. They made us feel like family and we truly enjoyed all the things while we were there. We were able to spend time at the pool one day and enjoyed wine, snacks and a lot of Tuscan sun. Dinner that evening was amazing as we had an absolutely delicious Florentine Steak. We did venture out during the day, but, when we came back, there was always someone there to greet us and we enjoyed some of their wine on the back patio! We loved hanging out with the staff and meeting new people while on our visit! We would love to come back and stay at Tenuta Santo Pietro again - this place was absolutely TOP NOTCH! ❤~Nicole & Jon

Stayed 4 nights here after driving from Florence. The building (parts of it dating back to the Middle Ages!) is in a beautiful setting, amid gardens and vineyards. There’s a pool with a stunning view across to Pienza, which is approx a 5-10 minute drive away. Montepulciano is about 15 minute drive in the other direction. We were greeted by Bertina, who is absolutely the star of the show here. She makes you feel welcome from the start and throughout was always happy to chat or answer any questions. Our room was lovely. Split over 2 floors with the bedroom above, up some stone steps and a skylight above. In the mornings we awoke to the cockerels, which was lovely. There was no fridge or coffee making facilities, but at any time the staff were happy make a hot drink. Breakfast was good and varied but sometimes ruined by other guests who thought it acceptable to hoover up the food at the buffet with little regard for anyone else. This is a small hotel so some consideration for other guests and the staff would go a long way. We ate dinner there a number of times and it was lovely. The pasta was homemade and delicious and the wine (which they produce themselves from their own vineyard) was superb. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to stay in this area and I hope to be back soon.

This was the highlight of our two week visit to Tuscany. Location was perfect. Their wine is outstanding. We enjoyed a cooking class during one morning with their Chef...it was great! The staff, the manager Bertina and owner Guiseppi were all accommodating and made us feel at "home". We also enjoyed the food which was all local and delicious. It is a place we will definitely return to on our next visit. It is a gem...

Of all the places I’ve stayed in the world, this was a unique and magical experience. It might have been the beauty of Tuscany, it might have been the elegant comfort of the hotel, maybe it was the amazing owner Giuseppe or the without peer general manager Bertina, or it could have been the truly delicious locally sourced food (much from their gardens) possibly the extensive variety of great wines from their vineyards or the great hikes or truffle hunting (and eating) or the cooking classes or the visits to local vineyards and olive oil producers or the hilltop towns, it might have been meeting many other fantastically interesting guests who will stay our friends forever. I’m just not sure, so we’re going to return very soon and try to figure this out.

Once we arrived at the property, we were greeted by Giuseppe, the owner and Bertina, the manager. Both were so kind and welcoming and we were told to relax! We got settled into our room with king sized bed and updated bathroom. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens. The breakfast was included each day and included a nice variety of eggs, meats, cheeses, pastries, coffee, espresso, cappucino, juices, etc. We went on a wine tour throughout the countryside to Montepulciano, Montalcino and Pienza -highly recommend this tour. We learned so much about wines from our tour guide, Giuseppe. We purchased wines from each winery, including Santo Pietro and they arranged to ship them to our home for us. Spend some time in one or all of these villages! The next day we went on a truffle hunt at the property followed by a cooking class. Both were delightful and enjoyable activities. The restaurant has great farm to table food. The staff is very professional and most were English-speaking. I cannot say enough about Giuseppe and Bertina-they went above and beyond for us to make our stay as comfortable as possible! Sorry we didn't stay longer here because we had booked further time in Rome. We would highly recommend Tenuta Santo Pietro and hope to return there again someday!
