Lazy Lizard Tavern and Caravan Park Cabins

TripAdvisor is badly letting you down by not highlighting this absolute nugget of a place. If your in Pine Creek and need a break, you need to stop here. The pub is welcoming, has tonnes of character and serves up very large servings of food. There is also a warehouse the size of an aircraft hanger, full of the owners personal collection of vintage cars. Monaro's, Torana's, you name it, it seems to be restored and parked up out the back. We also had a good chat with one of the locals, who was feeding one of the pet lizards whilst having a beer and a chat. Highly recommended. Hopefully at some point TripAdvisor will sort out this ranking issue coz it needs to be up there.

Lazy Lizard is as good as the best parks l have stayed in. Showers and toilets are the best ,in the top two l have stayed in 5 yrs.(travel full time). Recommend everyone should experience this establishment. Also try the Bark Hut. Both owned by the same owner.

Cold beer and an awesome collection of cars, bikes and moto memorabilia in The Shed. Friendly staff. Clean amenities. Great selection of groceries, reasonably fresh vegies, and the most amazing homemade ice cream! Fuel is reasonably priced.

Love this place! Tavern food was great and would have given 5 stars but.... the cleanliness of the rooms was disappointing. Accommodation is not cheap, and no discounts offered....ever, so would expect the rooms to be a lot cleaner. The pool wasn't overly clean, and a lot of fans were not working... some things seem to need a little TLC.

The camp site is OK, but the lady manager unhelpful and unfriendly. We asked to put in an electric cord for an hour or two so we could boost our batteries, for payment of course, but she refused and made us book and pay for a site overnight. We left after two hours, wouldn’t stay there again.

Booked here for 1 night on the way to Kakadu. Was sceptical at first due to other bad reviews, but was very pleasantly surprised FANTASTIC park, very well set out, beautifully maintained gardens etc The bathrooms...well, you need to see them for yourself... Wow...so quirky..loved them, I won't spoil the review with pics of them Sites are lovely and shaded and ample room for our 26ft motorhome Great pool & tavern & atmosphere Also an awesome vintage car/bike display in the shed next to the tavern The only slight negative was the noisy birds, dropping leaves & branches on the roof of the van during the night Highly recommended, would definitely stay again
