Filha Da Lua Ecolodge

I am full of admiration of Filha da Lua. We passed an incredible week here as a family, and I could not have been happier with the choice. What makes it so great: 1. The owner has just impeccable design taste. It takes A LOT to make somewhere this effortlessly beautiful, and capable of being maintained next to a sandy beach/ocean with strong onshore breezes. And the design details are phenomenal The whole place excudes the castaway luxury which I last saw in the Maldives 25 years ago, before that became just another resort machine. 2. The location. Pipa is a lovely buzzy resort town, which is great for dinner but not maybe what you want from coming to such a natural location. Filha da Lua is best of all worlds. Stunning natural location at a perfect distance from the evening action. The Minas beach is jaw droopingly stunning. Bring a car - and make it an SUV or 4x4. You'll have perfect flexibility (see 'the sister hotel' below) 3. The team are very kind and attentive - important when you are in a small remote hotel. All smiles, no tension. Lovely. 4. The rooms are huge. HUGE. And remarkable to have something which is both open to the element, but where the sleeping area can be effectively air conditioned at night. We slept so well. 5. The sister hotel, Filha da Vento is similarly wonderful. More sporty (and less luxe) but gorgeous and with great activity facilities especially kite surfing which the whole family learned with fantastic 1:1 lessons every day. If you are active, but want a luxury holiday, shuttling between the 2 is perfect. The gym at Filha da Vento is great (which it isn't at Filha da Lua). The drive in between is somewhat wild if you're used to suburbia but will leave you with a smile of your face. Drive along a clifftop and then get your car rafted across a river. Takes about 25 mins, and you feel that you are in rural Brazil between your comfortable hotels. This is the sort of place that makes 5* on TA meaningless. I rate lots of place 5 because they are great, but ultimately not memorable. Filha da Lua is another scale! BTW, if you didn't know it was gluten free, you'd just think the toast at breakfast is a bit floppy. Either great if you need that, or non-issue if you don't.

Filha da Lua is a unique and fantastic Hotel with a lot of personality. The team is amazing, caring and always there to help and assist. The rooms are comfortable, clean and lovely with a great view. The breakfast has a great variety. A very special place where you feel being welcomed.

Absolutely wonderful vacations in that paradise called Filha Da Lua. Beautiful location, dedicated service, exquisite food and drinks. Yoga classes, gym, sauna, massage make even better, coupled with the fact that is distant enough from Pipa to achieve peace and silence, but close enough to go out and spend time walking and dinning.

Very beautiful hotel with nice infrastructure in a nice location. Additionally, the service and food is really great. I definitely believe is the best quality option in Pipa.

Fantastic location at the beach, spacious lavish rooms and great local and international food. Yoga session every morning was a bliss, followed by fresh juices for breakfast. Cant wait to be back! Thanks for a fantastic stay to the whole Team

We had an amazing week of vacation at this wonderful place! It is beautifully located with a natural beach just below, and the buildings are surrounded by stunning nature. The interiors are made from natural materials and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. The food is absolutely fantastic, 100% gluten-free, which suited us perfectly since one in our group is gluten intolerant. Much of the food comes from their own garden. The service is top-notch! We were so well taken care of by all the staff. Juan recommended us some lovely excursions, and there are shuttles into Pipa. We travel a lot and enjoy exploring new destinations, but this is a place we truly want to return to. A big thank you to all the staff at Filha da Lua, and a special thanks to Juan, who always went the extra mile!
