Grand Hotel Bonanno Reviews

This is a hotel in the Italian suburbs. Besides the inconvenient location, everything else was okay. The hotel breakfast was chaotic and overcrowded, making it impossible to find a seat. Dinner was decent, and the price was genuinely cheap – it was probably the most affordable Italian full meal I had during my trip to Italy.

The good thing was that their breakfast was the best I had on my trip to Italy, but what left the deepest impression, and what angered me the most, was that the information provided by the check-in and check-out staff was completely contradictory! When I checked in, I specifically asked the staff if the bottled water in the room was free, and she confirmed it was. However, when I checked out, the staff member claimed her colleague had never said that, offered no other explanation, and simply stated I had to pay for those three ordinary bottles of water right then. It's not about the money; it's about being misled in the first place. I felt her attitude was extremely poor and completely unreasonable at the time. All she wanted was for me to follow what she considered the rules of the game at that moment, which was to pay. It felt like her word was final, and my reasoning didn't matter. On a side note, this hotel is extremely close to the train tracks, making it noisy and taking a while to fall asleep at night. I will never return to this hotel, nor will I ever recommend it to my colleagues or friends. The experience was truly terrible.

Excellent central location hotel. Lovely and quiet with all the facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast buffet. Could not fault anything and will stay there again.

The shower tends to flood the floor, and the soundproofing isn't great. Also, the breakfast selection is a bit limited. However, everything else is good, and for this location, it offers excellent value for money. It's perfectly acceptable.

The location is a bit out of the way, but Pisa isn't that big. It's about 2KM from the main train station and just a stone's throw from the University of Pisa's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. The hotel has free parking, which is very convenient.

Lovely hotel, great welcome. Only 15 euros in a taxi from airport, had. Deluxe room which was spacious. Breakdown good, had dinner at hotel and that was lovely too. Waiters did not stop! Amazing service and kept me topped up on wine. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Room was clean and comfortable 😊 The shower wasn't great but only needed unblocking in the holes which I managed myself. Needs cleaning regularly and not left to clog up 🚿 The room wasn't quiet as we had very noisy people to the right of us but that's them not the hotels fault Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough. Breakfast was simple but good Have to say the scrambled eggs tasted amazing😋 Location was great once we figured out the map 🤣🤣 All in all a lovely stay. Everything was great, the staff were kind and competent, and the location was convenient. Overall, an excellent choice.

A very enjoyable stay! The breakfasts were delicious – both classic European options, as well as fresh fruit and local pastries (the cakes were a big plus). The room was very clean and well-maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at every step. The hotel is located in a quiet area, just a 2-minute walk from the train stop with connections to Lucca. We took the photos during our stay, so please excuse a bit of a mess – in reality, everything looks great.
