There was dust and hairs in the bathroom. I told the recepcionist about that so he said he would clean it again but he never did. Also, ours bodies sank too deep in the old mattress. The location was superb.

Rude company! Told them it was our anniversary via *********** ..no obligation to it they could have just congratulated us on check in but they responded "Bene"...meaning "WELL" Tried to ask what they meant and was ignored... Will be taking my money elsewhere! Avoid if you're celebrating

We had a room near to reception, we did not hear any comings or goings. The hotel was not very far from the Central train station but also only a short walk across the bridge to the popular tourist spots. The breakfast was fairly adequate and the staff polite and friendly. We had a nice room which was dressed traditionally and the bathroom was ok. Great stay for the price paid.

So you’re lying on your bed and looking up at the ceiling of your 18th century room, feeling like a member of an Italian noble family. Then you get up and… realize that your tv remote control doesn’t. You report it to the owner and he promises to have a look at it. I trust people. I believe he looked at it. Unfortunately looking at things mostly doesn’t mean fixing them. The remote control never worked again. Then you want to take a shower. The shower is like a separate entity, it lives its own life in its own ways. You must understand it, it takes time. We stayed for three days only so we never managed to tame it. And don’t bother about the breakfast – a cup of coffee, a roll bought in a local shop and a short chat in Italian with the owners is probably not worth your 5 euro. Have you heard the legend about Count Ugolino, starved to death by his enemies in 13th century Pisa? They could’ve had left him with breakfast vouchers at Relais Centro Storico, the result would be the same. Is Relais Centro Storico a bad hotel? No, it has its own unique charm, the owners are very friendly and charming too. The location is great, really close to whatever is worth seeing in Pisa. Is it a top quality hotel? Surely not. But if you’d love to lie on your bed, looking up at the 18th century ceiling and feeling like a member of Italian noble family… Damnit, do you really think that members of 18th century Italian families cared about their showers and tv remote controls?

Dimora storica molto graziosa.
