Karras Grande Resort

Really lovely hotel, friendly staff, great selection of food and drinks, fantastic location, good entertainment. Would highly recommend.

Spent last week at this hotel and definitely a 3 star. Reception was friendly and helpful with us arriving early and checked in. Check out is at 11 so that is reasonable if you are leaving later. Hotel is very clean and rooms are serviced daily. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Pool areas were good enough and pool bars ok. The sun beds were a bit dodgy and are in need of maintenance. On the negative side we asked for pool towels and paid 20€ as we hadn’t read the info in the room and it wasn’t explained when asking for them this is not a deposit it’s a rental charge so just go and buy a towel from the supermarket it’s as cheap. The hotel is in a good location for eating out and going to bars at night. A small walk to the nearest beach which is good for sea swimming and chilling. The canteen is quite small for the amount of rooms so tightly squeezed in. Food was hit and miss and could of had more variety and better cooking, bit bland so we went out for 3 evening meals especially on the Friday when I couldn’t eat the fish and the squid was like rubber, over cooked. We used the Á la carte one night and it was better. Drinks. Red wine was just drinkable however the worst was the White wine which ran out on Tuesday and didn’t get replaced by the time we left on the Saturday. I would think that white wine is probably the most popular drink and the excuse we got was that it had to come from the mainland, yeh right try a cash and carry we passed enough of them. I had to go to the supermarket and buy a bottle. Entertainment was hit and miss. One act that was good so we went out most evenings. This Hotel is what it is and for all inclusive is relatively cheap so you can eat out. Would we go back? No not for us and the fact they run out of wine and really didn’t care.

The only good points about this hotel are the cleaners do a great job. The rooms are very clean. The receptionists are helpful,and that's the only good part. The food in the restaurant wasn't very appetising. The meat and fish were overcooked, so no amount sauces could hide the dryness. It was cold or at best lukewarm. The barstaff were miserable. I felt as if I was encroaching on their time. It just seemed that well we've had your money, so you'll have to put up with it. I think if you pay good money (it's not cheap) you should get value for it, and not inedible food and warered down drinks

We stayed at this hotel for one week in earlier September. Very mixed reviews already and I agree with a lot of the comments made. I haven't been to a greek island for many years and was expecting a very good hotel especially with the hotel set in the top tax band for the area. Many of the sunbeds and chairs around the bar and pool area were broken and dangerous , little or no snacks available and were of poor quality. The All inclusive food in the restaurant is okay and plentiful but not the best. The food was not particularly warm (microwave available) , the green salad was dire most days and the fruit at breakfast was often very badly bruised and discoloured. The options didn't fit together some days eg asian rice, samosa but no curry style option to go with it. All the staff at the hotel were mostly friendly and polite but the food hall room was very small and cramped. The meal in the Italian restaurant area was lovely and it was nice to be waited on. However, I was surprised as I had thought the food would have been more greek oriented. The balconies are small and very open, hence, if the person in the next room smoked you were unable to sit out and had to shut the doors of the room. very unpleasant for none smokers! I have some sight issues at the moment and found the amount of steps and ramps were very poorly marked and constructed. I would not suggest this hotel for anyone who has a disability or in a wheelchair. I think it would also be difficult for someone with limited mobility to gain access to any of the pools. Overall we enjoyed our stay but definitely room for improvement.

Our stay at the hotel began and ended with some difficulties, but we were very impressed with how efficiently and quickly the staff responded to every situation. Their helpfulness and professionalism really stood out, and we would like to give special thanks to Elena for her excellent support ;))) The food was rather average and could be improved. Rooms were cleaned daily. However, it’s worth noting that guests arriving through tour operators are usually accommodated in the main building, where the rooms tend to be older and of lower quality. Those booking directly with the hotel can expect better, more up-to-date rooms. The “garden view” room we booked actually overlooked the main street, which was quite noisy at night.

Just spent 10 nights in Karras Grande and had a wonderful time The hotel is right in the middle of resort close to pubs, restaurants, and beach We stayed in a family suite overlooking the pool and this was lovely and modern with two bedrooms separated with a glass partition Very clean and lovely staff Food had a great mix and we always found something to eat although sometimes had to give a blast in microwave to heat up. We did go out a few nights as lovey pubs and restaurants around I would recommend booking a Greek night at a local restaurant. as this was very enjoyable You are entitled to one night per stay in the Al Carte restaurant and this was delicious The only thing I think needs improving is the entertainment. This consisted of either French Boiles or darts at 11-15 Aqua fit at 12 Volley ball at 4 A mini disco 6.30 this is the only children entertainment And basic entertainment consisting of 2 singers ,bingo, a music quizz , Karaoke and a movie night . This should be improved. Most people go out to local pubs which is shame . Overall we had a great holiday and would recommend Nothing was too much for the staff who were helpful and attentive
