Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge is my favorite place on this planet. It isn't just the lodge, but also, the natural beauty of the area, and mostly the staff. They are like family after only six days. So much to do while there including the nature and cultural hikes designed for the individual by Sajan. I'm already planning my return trip and can't wait to be pampered again.

Well i was with my friend and we ordered coffee. We sat outside the coffee was terrible. I was laying on the sofa and was constantly been watched(give me space) later was told not to lay on the sofa ok that's fine But then when we were taking pictures one of the employee was rude. Later i moved to pay the bills they didn't had qr nor online payment nothing Not so good place very bad

Such a beautiful place to stay! Warmly welcomed by Hari after a very bumpy road trip from Kathmandu. Tiger Mountain has clean and comfortable cottages - all discreetly nestled in the well tended grounds. The flora and fauna was abundant. The tranquility so welcome after the hustle and bustle of the city. The views of the Himalayas on a clear day were stunning. The service from all staff was consistently excellent. And the food of the highest quality. Lots of ingredients locally sourced from nearby villages or grown in the grounds. (The toffee and banana pudding and the ginger ice cream were absolutely delicious!) The Lodge offers guided walks of various lengths and for different abilities. Some FOC, some payable. We opted for the village walk, which was excellent and our guide was so knowledgeable about everything we saw. He really is passionate about his subject and was so interesting to walk with. We were very impressed! Tiger Mountain strives to be a sustainable Lodge with good working conditions and rewards for staff which is commendable and hopefully will encourage more travellers to stay. We throughly recommend it.

I don't really do five star reviews, but I feel like this place merits one for the wonderful location, the superlative Himalayan views, the abundance of bird and insect life around the complex, and the courteous and knowledgeable staff. Tiger Mountain was the fifth hotel I stayed at during a tour of Nepal and it came at a very welcome time after some long, uncomfortable journeys by road and some frenetic days of sightseeing. This hotel offers peace and relaxation in carefully landscaped surroundings, with each room being in a little self-contained villa. They are simply but thoughtfully furnished, with a very comfortable and sizeable bed and a little outdoor terrace area where you can sit and wildlife-watch (there are loads of butterflies and dragonflies to spot). The food was all very good and the reception/dining area had large open French doors along the sides so that the mountain scenery could be seen from almost everywhere. I very much recommend this place for a bit of respite from the higher temperatures of the Terai and the lower-lying hill regions, and for some genuine Nepalese hospitality.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Tiger Mountain. When coming to Pokhara, we debated about whether to stay by the lake, or several other venues in the hills around Pokhara, but kept coming back to Tiger Mountain and thinking that while it was by far the most expensive, it would be a special experience. When we arrived, we were the only ones staying that night and were given a room with a direct view of Machhapuchhare and the Annapurna range. The views from the main lodge, the pool, the grounds, and our room were priceless. Sunrise and sundown were especially spectacular, and you receive a wake up call and tea or coffee on your porch to take it all in. The food was fantastic, and we went with Nepali for lunch and English for dinner, and that was a nice mix, and the meals were delicious and fresh. Drinks by the fire in the evening were also a treat with some light snacks provided. The decor is really lovely in the main lodge and in the rooms with items from Nepal as well as other countries. Our room had a comfortable bed, warm shower, and a space heater as well as hot water bottles under the blankets. We turned the space heater off right before bed and felt sufficiently warm. We took several walks with a local guide, ranging from 3-7 hours and saw many views of the mountains, local villages, and so many trees, birds and butterflies. We highly recommend taking advantage of that offer. We did not brave the unheated pool except for dipping our feet in after a long hike, but the views are amazing - from the lodge you can see Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu. We went down to Phewa Lake one afternoon, which was nice, but the refuge of Tiger Mountain is so wonderful we really would not need to leave the area for several days. After the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, or even the traffic of Pokhara, being in the mountains was the respite we needed. The staff are fantastic - we felt very pampered. Many of the staff have been there from the beginning, some of whom helped build the lodge. If you are in Nepal, we highly recommend visiting Tiger Mountain and experiencing a bit of luxurious tranquility and supporting this special regenerative tourism experience.

An absolutely stunning place to stay. Our room was beautiful with everything you could ask for or need including an amazing, unobstructed view of a piece of the Himalayas from a deck area. Our chalet was Tucked away from the main lodge down a meandering pebbled walkway. Very private and secluded. The lodge itself its beautiful with an open fire pit which vents through openings in the roof. Luxurious dining areas and a bar close to the fire makes for cozy nights with fellow guests if you so choose or you can tuck yourselves away in one of the many seated areas. Sweeping views of both the Himalayas and Pokhara (1000 feet below) offered in the seated areas outside the lodge as well. The well trained staff were extremely attentive and always available to cater for your needs. The food was first class catering for all tastes. Also a lovely secluded infinity pool which even in winter is a must for a plunge. Many different activities available including guided walks around the surrounding villages including a photo opportunity under the tree the then Prince Charles sat by during his famous Nepal trek in 1981. Or perhaps a dawn breakfast at a nearby Monastery with fellow guests watching the sun rise. A truly amazing stay.

Wow. I think I read someone saying I don’t often give five stars. Neither do I. Can I give this six ? Fab place. Fantastic location Lovely staff. Views amazing. Morning cuppa on the patio outside main area. Where staff brought us a welcome cuppa That view through main door. Wow. Fish tail Pool nice. But don’t try to walk there in flip flops. Put walking sandals on. Fantastic view as you swim. People thought I was mad. But I swim outside in uk until October. So although chilly. Home pools would be worse ! Lovely room. Oil filled radiator provided for overnight. Lovely suitcase area with shelves for one case friend left hers in main room Wake up call provided Lovely walk round village humbling and so special Favourite spot of the holiday could have stayed so much longer Personally hated the freestanding gas fire A real fire would have been nicer. But we were the only group of 6 staying. So not practical
