Villa Pedra Natural Houses

13 years coming back at different times of the year and we are never tired of visiting Central Portugal and staying in our happy place. Villa Pedra NEVER disappoints. This place is a hidden treasure we would like to keep to ourselves but we know business is business and the more the merrier. If you are looking for a secluded, relaxing & chic rural stay look no further. Villa Pedra has it all. From comfy beds to scrumptious breakfasts that you’ll prepare at your leisure. Explore rivers, small churches that are frozen in time, taste local products and enjoy this area culture, visit small art galleries and ceramic studios, or if you are into history there are a few ancient ruins very close. Drive 1:15 hr to Porto and explore the city or Lisbon if you prefer. Come back and get a refreshing and recuperating massage. Visit Fatima and learn the story at the exact same place it happened. Engage with the locals and remember, you are not moving here, you’ll be here for a short stay (I promise you’ll want to have more time to relax and enjoy this beautiful place). Very important: if you NEED anything don’t wait until you leave to tell the office, please just ASK. Villa Pedra is operated by its owner and they will provide you with a terrific stay but tell them what you need. Don’t complain instead kindly ASK and they’ll be happy to assist. A Karen just checked out and was giving “recommendations” about simple things she should’ve asked for (like extra food containers or kitchen towels 🙄). Come and thank me later!

This was the most relaxing stay! We were deep in the countryside in our own stone village with great amenities and fresh bread, fruit, cheese, jam and honey for our kitchen every day. No restaurant on site or in walking distance but it was fun and challenging diving around exploring the region on back roads to get to the each town with its castle and church.

Our holiday at Villa Pedra was originally booked for 2020 but due to Covid restrictions we had to postpone our trip twice. Villa Pedra were very accommodating in letting us rebook and they also charged us their 2020 prices. We had a wonderful 2 weeks staying in Jasmine House (although we did have an overnight stay in both Porto and Lisbon). The Villa is beautiful (love the unique art pieces!) and very private. We very much enjoyed the view. My husband and I had a lovely meal cooked by Marta in an intimate part of the restaurant. We also enjoyed the Villa Pedra wines that we tried. We explored so many wonderful places around Villa Pedra. Thank you so much to Priscilla and Marta for being fabulous hosts!
